A cab ride on board the new tramway in Tampere. I this video you will see the route of tramline 3 (Pyynikintori - Hervantajärvi) between the stops Sammonaukio, near the railway station and Hervantajärvi in the eastern suburbs. The rolling stock seen here is the Skoda Transtech ForCity Artic X34 tram. The Artic X34 is manufactured in Finland at Skoda Transtech's plant in Otanmäki, Kajaani. The tram consists of three carriages (complete length of 37m) with freely twisting bogies making the travel very comfortable. Tampere tramway began its revenue services on 9th of August 2021 after 4 years of construction. The tramway system has currently a length of 16 kilometres and there are two lines in operation. The line 3 runs from Pyynikintori to Hervantajärvi and line 1 from Sorin aukio to Kaupin kampus (TAYS hospital). These two lines share the same tracks at the city centre between Koskipuisto and Sammonaukio stops.

Vaunu on 37 metriä pitkä ja koostuu kolmesta vaunusta, joissa on vapaasti pyörivät telit. Tampereen Articien huippunopeus on 70 km/h. Tampereesta tuli virallisesti Suomen toinen raitiotiekaupunki elokuussa 2021, kun Tampereen ratikka avattiin neljän vuoden rakentamisen jälkeen 9.8.2021.
