Hello my friends, I'm Nathan, Seoul Walker.
Today, let's walk together on Nami Island in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do, one of the most popular places in the fall. It takes about 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes from Seoul by car. You can also take a shuttle bus from Myeongdong in Seoul($15.98 USD/ Round trip). The entrance fee to Nami Island is 13,000 won($11.54 USD), including the shipping fee.

Namiseom or Nami Island (Korean: 남이섬) is a half-moon shaped island located in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, South Korea, formed as the land around it was inundated by the rising water of the North Han River as the result of the construction of Cheongpyeong Dam in 1944. Its name originates from General Nami, who died at the age of 28 after being falsely accused of treason during the reign of King Sejo, the seventh king of the Joseon Dynasty of Korea. Although his grave was not discovered, there were a pile of stones where his body was supposed to be buried. It was believed that if someone took even one stone from there, it would bring misfortune to their house. A tour company arranged the grave with soil and then developed Namiseom into an amusement park.

In my country, we don’t have four seasons a year. We only have “Dry season” (summer) and “Wet season” (winter but just rain). So, this is absolutely amazing for me. Thank you for bringing us this beautiful scenery through your walks and videos. 🇨🇷😍🇰🇷

When I was young, I used to keep autumn leaves in books. 🍁🍂 That red leave was so beautiful. After carefully laminating the leaves with laminating film, I wrote a poem by a famous poet on it. I always love going horse riding in the fall out in the woods. The sun peaking thru the trees made the leaves look like they were on fire sometimes. Also we had a big yard of leaves and when we got them all raked up, my dad would allow us to run and jump into the big pile of leaves, then later that night we would have a big bonfire and roast Marshmallows and Hot Dogs. Miss those time!🍂🍁🔥

Our favorite thing to do in the Autumn as kids, was after raking up tons of fallen leaves we would run and jump in them.. haha 🍁 then we would rake them back up again and do this over and over. Oh, well, kept us busy 😊 We had lots of bon fires and smores making night. Great memories. Thank you for sharing yours with us🧡

I grew up near Nami Island throughout my childhood where my parents took me to Nami Island every season and fall was always my favorite. After moving to America, I always miss nami island when fall comes, so thank you for filming this and ease my heart with beauty scenary of Nami island.

A fall walk at Nami Island is just full of multiple magnificent colors all over. This walk was just full of wondrous views. The fountains, sculptures and the scenery itself was stunning so much that it would be hard to describe its beauty in words. The walk brought a peaceful atmosphere which delightful. Just another place in South Korea with endless appealing beauty.

This was a beautiful walk. I am still impressed. A place of somewhat unreal beauty. A place where you forget about everything, you simply enjoy and admire every step of your walk. This explosion of leaf color was a real balm for my eyes and soul. wonderful, i couldn't take my eyes off the screen.This is a place I definitely have to visit.Thank you🙏😊

I’ve visited Nami Island during autumn last year & it was so breathtaking. Wish I could stay there for the whole season. Thank you for sharing this video as it bring back beautiful memories and hope to visit Korea again once the pandemic is over.

It's so beautiful... the colours on the tree and the fallen leaves, I can almost feel how cool and crisp the air is! 🤗 I also have memories of collecting leaves and then laminating them😆 But I think as a child, my favourite is still crunching the dried leaves as I walk around on the streets or the playground. 😌 Thank you for sharing this beautiful video!!😄

I recognize this island. I was there in January 2020, but all nature was still asleep and there was no such riot of colors, there were ice figures, and near the ice hill there were red maples, from a distance they seemed real:) I walked around the entire island slowly and noticed how time flew by... Nathan, thank you for the memories and such an amazing autumn walk, I will definitely come there in the fall!👍😀😊

가을 남이섬 풍경은 정말 좋네요. 남이섬에 몇가지 아쉬운점이 있다면 냄새나는 타조 사육장, 주변환경에 어울리지 않는 몇몇 이상한 조형물들이 개선된다면 좋겠습니다.

BEAUTIFUL. The seasons in Korea are perfect. Here in Brazil we have "4 seasons" like this: Winter, hot a lot; Spring, wet and hot; Summer, hot like a hell; Autumn, dry and hot. >_< It's horrible, because I love temperate climates, so that makes Korea perfect for me.

I'm so mesmerized by the color of the leaves. So beautiful! Such a nice place! If I was there, I might have a stiffed neck from looking up all the time. :D
