At 29:18 I was grinning when you took that left turn down my favorite alleyway in Kabuki. Even before path tracing came along, there was just something nice about the lighting in that narrow alley. Definitey worth showing off with path tracing!

As someone who’s wheelchair bound that don’t really go out much, this is by far the most immersive experience in just walking around in a video game. I can’t tell you how much time I’ve spent just walking around aimlessly in this game. Definitely a masterpiece.

Totally. It really is a work of art. I love doing the same, just cruzing around for hours checking out all the quirks, fine details, random places and moments the npc's get up to and how things change during the weather, times of the day etc and I still have not done any serious full on off the beaten track exploration yet haha good times ahead 🍻

i fully agree! i am not wheelchair bound but i have HEDS, bursitis, hip dysplasia, etc that makes getting around hard where i spend a lot of time in bed. also a sun allergy so i cant really go outside at all during daylight. i love the simple parts of open world games like just exploring, walking, driving calmly etc.

People often speak about gaming like it's a waste of time, they're probably right, but gaming genuinly sparked an interest in photography, at the very least changed my outlook. Looking at little restaurants and convenience stores with beautiful neon lighting, old architecture lit up by ambient lighting. Being peacefully in the middle of nowhere looking out at mountain ranges in the middle of a huge valley covered in wildflowers in Read Dead 2 also inspired me to go out camping and exploring national parks. It really made me look and appreciate things in the world I'd normally walk past.

It's incredible how some of these scenes look like they are straight out of the film "Bladerunner 2049". I mean that movie is also part of the Cyberpunk genre so it's no suprise the the overall atmosphere/visuals are similar.

I just switched from playing on my PS4 to my computer, and I can see a pretty huge difference in graphics. Its like going from a cartoon to photoreal. It just makes a little nervous that playing this game on my computer sends my computer's fan in to "jet" mode. Still, I played for a bit last night, and was amazed at the difference. I also have to put the new skill trees to the test to see how good/bad they are.

Me: Man, this game looks amazing with this tech. Almost photorealistic in some shots. Also me at 2:55: [van pops in and out of existence] But Cyberpunk is still Cyberpunk 😆 I love this game and it has made huge strides from the launch state, but there are still times when we get disappearing vehicles or exploding trash piles.

I loved CP77 since it got released. I never talked trash about it because despite the bugs (luckily my game didn't have many), the story, graphics, and gameplay were incredible.

Same experience here, lucky with limited bugs and i enjoyed it. It did need more time but i spent 50+ hours on the original release. After phantom liberty i added more than 120 hours on top of those 50, it's damn good now and unfortunately for me it's almost too good. One of those few titles where i want much more despite it now having a lot of content. I had the same experience with the mass effect trilogy, they could've had 3 more games with the same characters just exploring planets and i would've been fine with it.

@@Deafz The person cleary means play it with those graphical setting on Vr which is not possible right now since even the RTX 4090 can barely handle path tracing at 60 fps. VR requires to duplicate/redender the same image twice for each len which mean that in order to play with these graphical settings the GPU needs to handle path tracing at 120fps in order to play it in VR at 60fps. Probably the RTX 5090 would be able to handle VR path tracing at 60fps.

Be carful with changing from 1080p to 4k. The game might bug so the screen doesn’t fit your monitor and you won’t be able to see settings and the same on the menu screen. The reset graphic settings after 2.0 is no longer there, so you might re installer the game.

Amazing level of details, shadows, reflexions. A game from dreams. While playing first Syndicate from Bullfrog I could not have imagined that kind of game in the future. We have almost everything in CP2077, maybe lack some laser weapons and also Persuardertron to convert the mobs to passively follow, pick a weapon and support us in fight.

Got lost in the crazy atmospherics and immersion during a random killing spree at night in the pouring rain in the 8:58 area. After 2.0, this is hands down the best graphics showcase for modern hardware.

Im in my peaceful gamer phase so just being able to endlessly walk around and explore a cyberpunk city is so cool to me. it would be a dream if there was a game solely focused on a tourist experience. Being able to enter any interior and see what a office, gym, shopping mall, gas station, aquarium, bowling alley, theme park and literally anything else would look like in a Cyberpunk world. And if there are interactive activities to go alongside the theme park and bowling etc that would be icing on top.

After ending game takes you just before the point of no return.

it would be nice if the actual city was modeled, and the buildings had purpose other than as design sets, but this will come in time :)

You can play it in VR using Luke Ross' VR plugin, but you do have to turn down a few settings to get decent frames per second - even on a 4090.

I have often felt this kind of vibe walking around Pattaya Thailand late at night, except there are 1000's of bars, clubs, and massage parlors to add to the mix. Anyone that has partied there would know what I mean. Especially along Walking Street before covid.
