@@Minumm The Hawker Hunter is not a KLu fighter from the past years, it flew in the Dutch Airforce in the 1950's and early 1960's, before it was between 1962-1968 slowly replaced by the Lockheed F104 G Starfighter.

The Hunter is a beautiful looking aircraft is it correct that the F-35 was sprayed with fire retardant instead of water on it’s arrival? Thanks for sharing.

Yes that's correct. The first operational Dutch F-35 accidentally got a ceremonial foam shower instead of a water shower. The air base Fire Department was on standby for the water salute when they were called to an actual emergency with an F-16. When they returned for the water salute, they forgot to switch from ‘foam’ to ‘water’

Deze F16 had een cockpit vol rook dus moest eerder landen. En kon dus daarom niet mee doen met de Holding hands fly by.

Nee deze F-16 was van Volkel en niet voor de flyby. De F-16 was op de vliehors wezen oefenen samen met een andere Volkel F-16 en melde toen rook in zijn cockpit waardoor deze een voorzorgslanding maakte op Leeuwarden.. Een noodgevalletje tussendoor zeg maar ;)

Afterwards said it was planned to taxi around the airbase via the southside along the tower to the northside of the airbase against clockwise. Unfortunaly the F-16 from Volkel AB blocked the last exit to the south so the F-35 took the exit before the last one. That must be the reason to land on 23. Yes after that a little foam issue indeed ;)

My understanding is that fire fighting foam got rid of the corrosive components years ago throughout NATO in the 1990s. I heard something about it when I was at Aviano AB, Italy in the 1998-2002 timeframe.

E104 was called Starfighter, F-16 called Viper. F-35 is referred to as fat Amy, it looks like obesity is now also an issue with jet fighters. The jet really looks like an f-16 that went to MC Donald's way to often

Iedereen blij, behalve ik volgens mij, dat de herrie maker F104 weg ging en de F16 kwam doen we het met de F 35 nog ff over. Best grappig.

Ik vind t ook een herrie bak tegenover de f16, maar we zullen t er maar mee moeten doen. Werk al jaren bij volkel bijna elke pauze is t feest dus dat zal niet veranderen.

@@LJMaviacionffaa Incorrect. It is only bought to please the Americans. Small countries like mine do not need a plane wich costs 31,000 USD to operate per hour, each. Gripen only cost 4,700 USD per hour, each.

Why?? In air to air fight why be in something that's easy for other aircraft to detect? F35 is stealth from other 4gen aircraft radar. I'm talking aircraft not air defense system.

They normaly don't use the parachute but this was by Precautionary as this was an emergency call.

As far as I know it's a common procedure for the Hawker Hunter to use the dragchute because of the landing speed in combination of the limited speedbrakes to make a safe fullstop. De F-16 straalt echte spierballen, met de beste upgrades, was, nee is, deze beter tegenstander tegen de f-35 en de f-22 raptor, de keus is zo slecht.

I didn't know that the KLu still have a flying Hunter fighter, so more stylish then modern jet fighters. The F35 could be bad choice, much more suitable for a smaller European nation would be to replace the F16 by the Swedish Saab Gripen E/F.

The Hunter is not in service by the KLu but it's a private owned by the Dutch Hawker Hunter Foundation. The hunter is based at Leeuwarden Air Base. Thanks for watching and your comment:)

FACT, cold n undeniable, is F-35 is ACTUALLY working 5th generation fighter plane with continually upgrading software that is another potent weapon n Russia claiming so call S-57, the higher number simply assigned fighter jet numbers has got NOTHING to do with if such jet is better, (sheer non-sense!), does F-22 is inferior than F-35 (Jet experts tell U such notion is sheer baseless talk n nonsense, a big period? EVERYbody knows about fighter jet that is not the case (ONLY the US has TWO 100-percent functioning 5th generation jet, China jet is likely NO MORE than 50 percent so call stealth jet, if not 100 percent than it is not PLUS China borrows Russia's S-35 jet engine or modified S-35 engine later, so it is REALLY 4++ generation jet, J-21, NOT 5th generation jet, all China n Russia claims are NOTHING proven face-saving-elementary-lies- sad just hype! Fact, S-57 NEVER have been proven working except poor SAD face-saving baseless propaganda n may be outside looks different BUT, inside engine is, U guessed right, S-35 4th generation engine, laugh!, n claiming S-57 is NO LONGER 5th but NOW renamed, anotehr cracking laugh, as 6th generation? I was JUST almost fell off from chair! JUST pathatic FACE saving Putin's game, cz Russia does NOT have either, particularly engine, and one step below, body and coating 5th generation technologies are NOT there, NO Matter how many "teenager lies are being lied to the world by either Putin, U know what kind he is(?), and Russia defense minister, truly ugly face and nose!
