Vintage diesels need a lot more love from railfans in general. Yes, we see them every day in the form of GEVOs and ACes, but one day, they'll wind up like the steam engines they replaced. I'll always love steam like anyone else, but sometimes you have to let older diesels have some time to shine.

Diesels are so cool and amazing! I can’t understand why people give them so much flak, they are amazing and charming like steam engines.

I think they just mean modern diesels like the SD70Ace they probably also just mad that they replaced steam engines
