Welcome to the local island of Diffushi, Maldives and A&A Travelling. This tropical island is part of the Kaafu Atoll and located almost 37 km northheast of Malé the capital of Maldives.
Thulusdhoo the surfing island and capital of the Kaafu Atoll, is located just 8 km south of Dhiffushi.
Like most of the islands in the Maldivien Archipelago, Dhiffushi is a smal island measuring only 950 m x 200 m. Around 1200 people live permanentely on this paradise.
The locals rely on fishing and tourism as their main source of income.
HOW TO GET TO THE ISLAND FROM VELANA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT?
- Public Ferry
Public ferrys run frequently from the airport to Malé City.
It costs only 2 USD and departs from Villingili Ferry Terminal, Malé at 02:30 PM five days a week, Monday and friday there`s no public ferry. The return ferry leaves Dhiffushi at 06:30 AM. The trip takes 3 hs 15 min since it will stop at three other islands(Himmafushi, Huraa and Thulusdhoo).
- Scheduled Speedboat
The boat departs from Malé`s Jetty nr 7 direct to Dhiffushi and it takes only 45 min.
11:30 AM, 04:30 PM and 10:30 PM. It costs 35 USD.
- Private Speedboat
Costs 300 USD for up to 6 passengers.
