Rochedale is 18.4 kilometres by road south-east of the Brisbane GPO.
The suburb's western boundary is partially aligned with the Gateway Motorway and Bulimba Creek.
As Rochedale backs onto the Priest Gully a wildlife corridor has been set up to preserve the local flora and fauna.
The Brisbane Metro depot for electric buses is located in Rochedale due to its proximity to the South East Busway. The 10-hectare (25-acre) site includes a one-megawatt solar power system.

Cool, Rochedale have grown a lot. At the 5:10 mark, if you turned right, you would have gone past a friends old house. They don't live there anymore, moved to North Lakes.
