4k [EUGENE, OREGON] - Large Brush Fire! | Fire Engines And Police Units Responding. Eugene Springfield Fire Department / Eugene Police Department. Evacuations were being ordered before they got the fire under control. I was a little too close to the fire at first, could hear a crackling sound around me. OSP politely suggested I leave the area for my own safety. I got as much footage as I could, I hope you enjoy! Make sure to subscribe! Thanks for watching!

Thanks man. Those 90s rigs are my favorite! I love Eugenes fire apparatus. I had more footage but my camera was stolen when my car was stolen.

That means a lot, thank you! You should go to hughesfire.com then click on sales then Construction photos then rescue then Seattle. I’m pretty sure it’s the new Rescue 1 but I was gonna ask you are they adding a second rescue? You should check it out it’s really nice!

@@PierceFan Awesome find, thanks for the link! They are getting a new Rescue 1 - the current rig is a 2013, so I guess it's getting older (although I still drive an '04, so it doesn't seem *that* old 😂)

Blue lights are for police, Not Fire

Blue lights can be for ems, fire, police.. it doesn’t matter. Idk if you’ve seen police cars, but they have red lights too

In Oregon the law allows blue lights on fire apparatus. It’s different from state to state. Kind of like how Chicago has green lights on their rigs. I wish more fire apparatus had green lights.

In California that law is correct. If a fire truck has blue lights then it is usually some type of fire investigator. Other states the fire can use blue and red. Some police departments only use red lights. Depends on the laws of the state

When I volunteered in Alaska, if you responded in your POV, you were required to have a blue light, not red. I had bought a mini-lightbar with magnets for the roof of my van, as well as a twin strobe visor light, all with red lenses - when I showed them to the chief, he said, "You've got the wrong color!!"
