Went on this 'alone' after my friends refused during a school trip looooong time ago and ended up being basically adopted by a lovely German family (mum, dad and son a bit younger than me) who went on 6 more rides with me before I finally found my group again - wish I'd kept in touch I've got 2 photos

So glad the ballroom is back to the ethereal horror it was before, while all the other HM's have a macabre humor to them, PM is meant to be more of a genuinely creepy and frightening experience. And the ballroom with Melanie's eerie singing gives that off the best.

I am very happy that the attraction still uses Vincent Price's voice and laugh. One of the most famous voices and personalities in America.

Love the part seeing the bride crying in the mirror while the phantoms reflection is behind her, really tells a story.

The 'double-take' that the Phantom does at 16:05 is one of the most brilliant things I've seen an animatronic do! Love it.

Whoever are the responsible cast members for this video I'd like to thank you very much. The quality and high-resolution showed off a lot of detail I was not aware of. As a former Haunted Mansion cast member at Disneyland I can see and hear many of the sound effects and visual references from our mansion. I hope your happy with the new version. And I'm happy to hear the original soundtrack return to its proper locations. Other than what sounded like audio issues in the ghost town the video was very well done. Congratulations!

While personally my favorite will always be the Disney world haunted mansion, this blew me away! The music is amazing and I like how the bride appears a lot. Also they definitely made the graveyard scene a lot scarier. Wow! Europeans are fortunate to have this! Thank God for good cameras.

I am SO jealous of Paris Disneyland! I'm used the regular Haunted Mansion at Disneyland, which is great and all, but has no backstory to it. It's not something you can get "invested" in when you're on it. But THIS... this is so damn cool! I learned about the story of the Manor and its connection to Big Thunder Railroad through another video, so I had to look up the actual ride. I'm so impressed! The story is engaging and it's great you can point to characters and locations you recognize from the story throughout the ride. It makes it more immersive and interactive in a way. I love that. With the Haunted Mansion, the only immersion you ever feel is being on the grounds of a... haunted mansion. It's not a bad thing, of course. It's just not something that has a backstory you can connect with. Man, I love the Phantom Manor! Hope I can go on it someday. :D It's also great that both of the rides are so close to each other, so the immersion is even more apparent for those who ride either. It's just such a brilliant layout decision, I can't even wrap my head around it right now, lol. Hats off to design and layout teams who originally worked on these rides!

The pacing and the emptiness of the ride enhance the ride so much. It’s just so spooky! And wonderfully delightful!

I'm so happy that Disneyland Paris listened to the guests reactions and changed the ballroom organ music back to the original version

Okay. We want to say this is the best version of The Haunted Mansion. You got to go on Phantom Manor by yourself without any other guests. We love it. When you are down with the doom buggies and the bride is standing on top of the stairs telling everyone to remain seated and the party will commence. But the music sounds a bit too loud. When you were looking at all the paintings in the hallway. You missed the painting of Melanie. The way the ride looks without anyone looks abandoned mansion with no one inside. We love the music from Phantom Manor. We think it is amazing. John Debney is amazing. We think everyone likes the architecture from the ride. The way it is designed to hold up so many things. We mean look at those big red curtains hanging on the window up near the bride at the loading area. Must have taken days weeks or months to create a curtain like that. Amazing. Phantom Manor is the best out of The Haunted Mansion. It just has good backstory on what happened in the house. Thanks for uploading this. MP23 Studios Orchestra

As iconic as the ballroom music is for the Haunted Mansion, I'm really glad it reverted to the original soundtrack for Phantom Manor. PM has it's own vision and atmosphere, adding the HM music just break immersion all together.

Wow - without all the talking this is amazing. They should have a silent hour or two at all of the HM versions, especially Disneyland and World - it makes all the difference.

Beautiful video and probably the closest I will ever get to Phantom Manor. I once rode the Disneyland Haunted Mansion at 2:00 AM with a party of 4 people. It's a much different Mansion when your alone and everyone stays quiet.

This is the best footage of the refurb so far! The slow moving doom buggies, and the awesome low light allows us to find all sorts of newly added details. I'm still a little irked about how obvious it is when the Vincent Price impersonator comes in during the narration

Very cool! I remember the ride being pretty much the same as the Haunted Mansion except for the odd "Wild West" part when I rode it in 2017. If anything, the funny "Grim Grinning Ghosts" heads and the song throw off the experience now, as you go from creepy to haunting to silly to creepy again.

The thing that's always confused me about this ride's audio is that it goes back and forth between French and English, but not to translate. They both say completely different things. 🤔😂

Now I _REALLY_ want to see Disneyland Paris, and especially go on this ride! Katherine Lench Meyering has some great pipes in her.

For Vincent Price to be the Ghost Host of this attraction, that's an honor. Since he did voice the villainous Professor Ratigan in Great Mouse Detective back in 1986, this is a good way to honor his legacy under Disney.

I like that its a different experience. The Haunted Mansion is with the lady as the main villainous and this one is about the phantom. So it gave a super creepy vibe. That's so cool.

BEST VERSION OF HAUNTED MANSION RIDE - Hands down!!! Disney really went to town on the upgrades to this ride transforming a classic into an amazing dark ride experience!

Ah Vincent Price! I love his voice

Definitely improved since I visited it some years ago. Vincent Price is at last doing narration, which had been recorder, but was discarded early on. I also love having the four grooms, who meet their demise, in the stretch gallery, where the bride disappears just before the paintings begin to stretch, over Melanie suffering four fates. I honestly prefer this redo, to what happened in Disneyland, where they made the Mansion about Constance. I love the architecture of the Florida and Tokyo versions, and I grew up with the original in Anaheim, but being a fan of 2nd Empire Victorian architecture, Phantom Manor is my favorite of the Haunted Mansions.

This is by far better the superior version- so much was improved, especially the lighting! However, one very questionable decision was the ballroom scene with a static phantom figure just plain as day, out there in the open behind the Melanie animatronic. Like... the original scene was so much better and mysterious. WHO'S DECISION WAS THIS?

Oh wow, this is amazing!!! I've been going to WDW Florida since I was a little kid and know the Haunted Mansion monologue by heart ....it's so cool to hear the Paris version!!

Whoever is doing the French narration is brilliant. It is absolutely seamless and sounds exactly like Vincent Price.

I hate hate HATE the removal of skeleton Melanie and the fact that they made her seem evil in the mirror with the “will you marry me? Hahahaha!” Whoever came up with that idea for the ending missed the whole point of having the story be a tragedy.

haha once i was at disneyland paris and i got absolutely horrified when i saw the lights in one of the windows flicker (i was outside) and i saw a figure, i then remebered the ride is constantly stopping and starting and it was an animatronic. I remember my family saying how funny my face was 😂

I love this ride! I love the back story as well about the bride searching for her groom who was killed by the Phantom which was possibly her dad!

This is something I never would have experienced in person because of physical and health issues as well as I never would have enough money to go to any Disney amusement park. I want to cry because you've made me so happy to be able to see this!

So beautifull and the new stretch portraits so wonderfull.

I was thinking this was slow and somewhat boring, but it got considerably better towards the end when it descended into a world of skeletons.

Fantastic upgrade, and probably the best POV of Phantom Manor I've come across. Would love to pop over from the UK and ride it again.

Very good, clear video. Much better than one I did back in 2011. The changes look pretty good. Bringing back the original Vincent Price audio is very welcomed and I'm glad they didn't change the music.

Managed to go on this entirely alone the other week right before park closing. So it was dark, the beautiful lights were on and I got to soak in the ambience. I’d 100% recommend missing the fireworks one evening to get on this alone. Also went up to Boot Hill graveyard alone and watched a bit of the fireworks in the distance until they closed the area. 10/10 spooky vibes.

My other half and I were fortunate enough to ride Phantom Manor just the two of us on our last trip. It was getting towards closing time and the fireworks were about to start, but the cast member ominously said “This is you for you...” and closed the doors. Definitely more eerie when it’s just the two of you! So cool!
