This video takes place in the town of Hanalei, Hawaii on the North Shore of the island of Kauai. You begin your tour on a hot summer day in August at the Hanalei Pier. From there you make your way west down the beach towards Waioli Beach Park. You cut through a track of homes facing the bay, and make your way to the famous Waioli Huiia Church. You continue your way east to Downtown Hanalei.

Thank you for the music-free video! Looks like a lazy Sunday afternoon, devoid of tourists. We took a day trip here sometime in the 1990s. There were lots of people everywhere. I snorkeled in the Hanalei river. Thanks again for the memories.

I've been to Hanalei Kauai multiple times over the years, including that wildly colorful, intense-looking drive from Hanalei to the end of the road at the Na Pali coast hike. I stayed in a motel just past downtown called the Hanalei Inn. I always loved Hanalei's sparkling atmosphere, it feels like being in a whole different world. So beautiful.

We visited this pier in March. It was overcast,very windy,and cool drizzle . A few local kids were jumping off pier into water. Too cool for me to enjoy,if sun would have been shining I would have jumped in. The beach had a gradual drop out to pier building. Sand looked amazing. Maybe next time weather will cooperate.😗

Just a heads up: That looks like RADAR at eye level (the gumdrop looking thing attached to the pier). I was a Radar operator in the service, and radar is microwaves. I m probably wrong I hope, but this might be a wrong way to install it(?)
