Akihabara makes Tokyo the mecca of all things anime. Akihabara is the center of Otaku culture in the world and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Tokyo, Japan. Besides the Otaku culture retailers, there are many electronics stores in the area. Akihabara is also home to many popular maid cafes. A maid cafe is cosplay restaurant where the waitresses dressed up in maid costumes and act as servants to treat customers as masters and mistresses. It is common to find many women dressed up as maids on the streets of Akihabara.

New subscriber here. I really enjoy these videos, especially the ones around Akihabara and Kabukicho. I think if I ever get the chance to go to Japan then this would be my first stop. Maybe you, or someone can help me. Does anyone know the name of the song that plays at around 5.33 when you enter Chou Dori?. It's so catchy and I'd love to find the full version of it.

Pretty much! Tokyo sidewalks are always pack. Weekends are usually more crowded.

Im not sure whether to stay in akihabara or shinjuku , i would prefer somwhere with plenty of food. Im staying in tokyo for 5 nights and osaka 5 nights

I stayed in Shinjuku for 5 nights, Kyoto for 3 nights, Osaka for 2 nights, and Shibuya for 4 nights. In Japan, there are plenty of eateries every corner. No need to worry about food.😀
