My first 2 days of my May 2023 Disneyworld trip. Im staying at the Polynesian Village Resort in the King Kamehameha club level themepark view room #3504. How does it compare to Grand Floridians Royal Palm Club? Here is my review and all the food & beautiful views. Part 1 of my May 2023 WDW trip.

Thanks for the review. I booked a club level here with the 30 percent discount you get for booking within 7 days of your last checkout from a disney resort. I saved a ton of money doing this. I'll be there in June. I last stayed at the poly when I was like 10 in the early 90s. However, I've been there for drinks a few times in the past few years.

My pleasure. Thats so exciting! I will be there in May too! Epcots Flower and Garden Festival is my favorite. FYI you can ask castmembers at the lounge to bring you unlimited mickey ice cream bars, I hear they have it now but its not out there for guests to take and isn’t listed anywhere. Hope you have a wonderful trip!

@@KingBobaFett434 100%. I had it years ago, never got it again. On a previous trip, it was about 11 pm, we were in the room and wanted some food. Everywhere was closed so we ordered pizza delivery through the Doordash app from a local pizza place, it was pretty freakin good. That will be my go to if I have to choose between the flatbread or that. As a side note, Via Napoli in epcot is still the best pizza on property.

Thanks for watching! 2025 is going to be AMAZING at the Poly. That new DVC tower will be open which means even if you don’t stay in the tower, you will have more restaurants, another lobby, shops, pool and views of MORE Polynesian. I cannot wait!

Thank you! It was room # 3504. The greatest view I’ve ever had at WDW. And very close to the lounge. I hope you get it! Absolutely amazing. Whatever you do, just make sure you at the very least get the 3rd floor. Those all have great views but I prefer the ones closer to the lounge because they give you that Grand Floridian view to your left that enhances the look from your balcony and of course the castle. I would request “3rd floor, close to lounge, ex #3504” if I was to book again. Good luck!

So is the food lounge club level area open 24 hrs to go into I know the food isn't available 24hrs but what if I just wanna sit

Yes lounge is open 24 hours so you can sit anytime. But they do turn of all the background music and everything is cleared and silent so it feels weird & eerie there.

BRIEF BLOG 8/26/2023: I FEEL THAT WDW, GREAT VACATION DESTINATION THAT IT IS, IS TOO EXPENSIVE AT THE DELUXE RESORTS(THE POLY BEING $600.00 A NIGHT!), UNLESS YOU HAVE DEEP POCKETS, YOU NEED TO STAY AT AN OFF-PROPERTY DESTINATION FOR SURE, THE RIDES ARE OLD & STALE, IT'S THE SAME OLD STUFF ALL THE TIME, UNIVERSAL STUDIOS I'VE READ IS GIVING WDW A BIG RUN FOR THEIR MONEY! PERHAPS A 5TH PARK WOULD BE IN ORDER, MUCH LOWER PRICES & GETTING NEW UPDATED MONORAILS WHICH THEY SHOULD OF DONE YEARS BACK. THE WDW CUSTOMER COUNT IS WAY DOWN DUE TO THE PANDEMIC & OTHER PARKS BEING AVAILABLE. I'VE ALSO HEARD WDW IS IN FINANCIAL TROUBLE. IN MY VIEW WDW MGMT NEEDS TO LOOK FAR INTO THE FUTURE! THEY HAVE BECOME HUMDRUM! WHAT ABOUT THOSE WHO LIVE IN DIFFERENT STATES? WHAT DISCOUNTS DO THEY GET? YES THE DELUXE RESORTS ARE GREAT-JUST TOO DAMN EXPENSIVE! GRANTED WDW HAS OTHER MODERATE RESORTS, BUT AT TIMES EVEN THEY ARE TOO PRICEY! I HOPE MGMT AT WDW FIGURES SOMETHING OUT SOON, EVEN THEIR RECENT 50TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION WENT KIND OF BELLY UP, SAD IN A WAY. C'MON WDW-GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER UNLESS YOU WANT TO CONTINUE TO HAVE LOW TURNOUT AT THE WDW PARKS IN ORLANDO, FL. I WON'T BE BACK UNTIL FY 2026-2027 IF THEN UNTIL SUCH CHANGES ARE MADE. GOOD LUCK WDW!
