Walking Hamburg Central Train Station 🚉. Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (abbrev. Hamburg Hbf) is the main railway station of the city of Hamburg, Germany. Opened in 1906 to replace 4 separate terminal stations, today Hamburg Hauptbahnhof is operated by DB Station&Service AG. With an average of 550,000 passengers a day, it is Germany's busiest railway station and the second-busiest in Europe after the Gare du Nord in Paris.[6] It is classed by Deutsche Bahn as a category 1 railway station.

Right. Biggest (most platforms) is Leipzig Hbf, most trains afaik Frankfurt/Main Hbf, most passengers Hamburg Hbf. So it is somewhat crowded.

(6:47) These two tracks and the platform between are for S-Bahn (red EMUs) only. Behind the wall to the right there are two addional tracks with a platform between also for S-Bahn only in the opposite direction. Although they are at same level this additional building is called tunnel station and you have there the feeling to be underground. - Greetings, Heinz
