Jordan (2024), Jordania or (المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية in Arabic) is a country in the Middle East. The official name is 'the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan', and its capital is Amman. Jordan has a population of 11,5 million. Many inhabitants of Jordan are Palestinian refugees. Some highlights of Jordan are the ancient Hellenistic city of Petra, the Roman city of Jerash with the Oval Forum, the desert and the city of Amman. Jordan borders the state of Israel, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.
