Lübeck was founded in the 12th century and prospered until the 16th century as the major trading center for northern Europe. The Queen of all the Hanseatic cities is a historic place located in the northern part of the country. The plan of the Old Town island of Lübeck, with its blade-like outline determined by two parallel routes of traffic running along the crest of the island, dates back to the beginnings of the city and attests to its expansion as a commercial center of Northern Europe. Lübeck has remained a UNESCO listed city despite being badly damaged during World War II. Almost 20% of it was destroyed, including the very Grundungsviertel, a hilltop quarter where the gabled houses of wealthy merchants accumulated.
According to our filmmaker Roman Gamkalo, Lübeck is a very cozy city with stunning architecture that makes you want to walk forever! There are incredibly many flowers, especially near the river. In the park, adults and children often meet to play Pétanque, a popular game in France and Germany using metal balls. And he especially remembered the amphibious bus, excursion transport, which is able to move both on land and on water.

I am grateful to be able to live in Lübeck. I was born in Lübeck and it would be unimaginable for me to move away from Lübeck. The entire federal state of Schleswig Holstein is very livable! Greetings from Lübeck

Früher war Lübeck eigentlich auch echt nice mittlerweile tummelt sich besonders nachts das gesocks auf den Straßen herum echt Schade aber der Trend ist ja in vielen Deutschen Städten zu beobachten.

@@pring_7035 Ja, aber das ist in anderen, größeren Städten noch viel schlimmer....Hamburg z.b. Allerdings gehe ich nachts in Lübeck auch nicht mehr raus, jedenfalls nicht alleine.

@@pring_7035 Ich habe überhaupt kein Problem nachts durch Lübeck zu schlendern. Klar, ein paar Flitzpiepen gibt´s überall, aber in Lübeck ist das wahrlich kein Problem.

How do you think Lubeck would be for American expat family to move there? Lubeck seems so beautiful. A decently sized city, but not too big. Love all the walking areas with no cars! What was your childhood like growing up here? What's the beach like? Is Travemünde the best place to swim at the beach? I saw a video of this beach & the waves look awesome! Do you walk to the store to buy your groceries? In the US it's more common (if you can afford a vehicle) to drive to the store since the US is such a new country & the buildings are all spread out & not walkable for the most part- especially in small towns.

Also ich bin Lübecker, leider wird kaum was von der schönen und historischen Altstadt gezeigt, wirklich schade, Lübeck hat wirklich mehr zu zeigen als nur die Fuß gänger zone

Lübeck ist keinen Besuch mehr wert. In der Innenstadt nur noch Sperrungen, Baustellen mit Endlosziel und vor allem *Leerstand* Kaum noch gute Restaurants, oder Cafe`s, dazu die Innenstadt voller *Shishabars, Dönercafes, Handyläden, 1€ Läden, Barbieren, Spielhallen und Wettbüros und das dazugehörige Klientel qualmend und rot****d vor den Läden!* Ich war vielfach dort (in Blankensee stationiert damals) -aber jetzt!? Wir waren schon zweimal im Frühjahr dort und waren erschrocken, wie sich alles verändert hat und haben abends vor verlassenden Restaurants gestanden, die um 20.00 Uhr geschlossen waren. Dazu leider *Gruppen junger Männer* (hust) die sich völlig daneben benahmen am Haerder Center um 20.00 Uhr am Abend. Wir haben uns unsicher und seltsam alleine gefühlt. Die Stadt ist im Gegensatz zu anderen Städten abends so gut wie menschenleer.

Wow, this video of Lübeck is absolutely amazing! I've never been to Germany but after watching this, I'm convinced I need to book a trip ASAP. The 4K resolution makes it feel like I'm actually there, and the winding cobbled streets have me feeling like I'm in a fairytale. The architecture is out of this world, and I'm convinced that Lübeck has the most charming buildings in all of Germany. I also didn't know that Lübeck was a major trading center in northern Europe during the 12th to 16th centuries and it's a UNESCO listed city, that's super cool! I also love how the video showcases the city's cultural landmarks and historical monuments, it makes me want to learn more about the city's rich history. The amphibious bus excursion is a unique touch too, that's something you don't see every day. Overall, this video is a great way to explore Lübeck without having to physically travel there, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in discovering this beautiful and historic city. Went to a place called Brauberger, a great classic german restaurant with a brewery style interior. Also Alte Schmiede set in an old blacksmith served value for money food and drinks.

Is there anyone from Lübeck (or a nearby town, or someone who has visited) who would care to tell me about their experience living here? I'm American, & I'm considering moving my little family over. Trying to learn German, lol. The Travemünde beach is especially charming to me. This seems like such a charming town. Please tell me anything and everything there is to know about this city! I'm new subscriber. Please 🙏 I want to ask. What settings do you use to make your video play smoothly and move gently not too fast ... I do set my GoPro in 60fps and edit in davinci using 24 timeline frame rate and the playback frame rate 24fps. But still I don't get the smooth playback. Or did you slowdown your video to get this smooth play. Or is it work of the Nd filters. Am just a bit confused, still struggling to learn lot of things and how to get best results out of my video.

Als Lübecker finde ich es immer schade das man nicht alles wie die Nebenstraßen und Hinterhöfe zeigt !! Und vielleicht auch mal Essen Empfehlungen probiert und dokumentiert!!

Als ein Kumpel vor 8 Jahren Junggesellenabschied in Lübeck hatte, waren wir im Sommer(!) in der Beckergrube in einem großen Lokal , um ein paar Bierchen zu trinken. Die *woken* Bedienungen guckten uns um 21.15 (!) mit großen Augen an; sie stellten gerade die Stühle hoch! Ganz ehrlich: HL ist nicht mehr zu retten: Warter, Anni Friede, Haerder, Schaulandt, Karstadt, Beutin Pagels,....selbst Pimkie und andere Billigmarkenshops sind abgehauen. Dafür endlose Wettbüros, Handyläden, Barbiere, Spielhallen, Nagelstudios , Shishaläden und Dönerspelunken sind reichlich dafür da. Ich glaube(?) die *Mühlenstr:* : *Komplett in einer Hand!*

Puh, zig Mal die Breite Strasse, Königstrasse, Mühlenstrasse und Holstentorstrasse. Einige Sequenzen waren auch mehrfach vorhanden. Wer sich jetzt schon für Lübeck begeistert hat sollte erstmal die wahren schönen Ecken von Lübeck kennenlernen. Sorry, hier ist jemand nur lustlos im Kreis gelaufen und hat den historischen Teil Lübecks mit den Gängen und Innenhöfen überhaupt nicht gesehen bzw. ignoriert. Da nützt auch 4K nichts wenn es langweilig ist.

Es werden mittlerweile Tiere geschächtet und 4jährige Jungen beschnitten! Da kann man nur sagen: Mit hoher Geschwindigkeit ins Jahr 600 n. Chr. *Wer das will, bitte schön!*
