A review of the Bootleg knock off figure of RYUK from China. Is it worth it even at $20?? I’m not endorsing buying bootlegs which is why I won’t list a link to the item my sole reason for posting is to show what kind of figure you can get for the $20 range.

Not figma or based off of figma. Figutto is its own thing. I just ordered nine. Dope review.

One thing you got confused with is that these are not based off of Figma figures. Figuto is a separate brand with their own figures- separate from Figma, but of course lower quality. And this is a bootleg of the Figuto. So yeah just fyi.

Thanks for the clarification. I don’t collect a lot of these figures and just pick up pieces of characters I like. I appreciate the information. 👍🏻

@@MarshallMadeCollectibles absolutely no problems! Cos I actually made a similar mistake once but with the Light Yagami figure of the line.

Hi the little blue plastic bit fits in between the legs. The torso kept popping off even more once the mystery piece was stuck in place, so I used a dermal on the inside crease behind the base of the belt. Works like it should now.

Was there really a Figma Deathnote figure? I have not seen any reivews of the Figma one, so not sure if it was really made.

Me neither, I'm not a toy collector, I do like to buy action figures sometimes but I have made a research but neither on eBay nor any other place I have seen not even the box of that "Figma version".

How do you know the difference between real and bootleg because I'm buying one that's supposedly real Friday but idk the difference never bought a figutto figure

Buying off of eBay you can pretty much guarantee you are getting a bootleg if it’s under $30-60 and the originating country that is shipping it is China. The original figure was from a company called The Good Smile Company and the band is FIGMA...also in hand a true Figma figure has joints that have these small little smile faces on them because of the company they originated from The Good Smile Company. Also in hand the similarities are pretty glaring. A true Figma figure will have pretty tight joints and super tight paint apps with very little to no slop (paint overspray) while a bootleg will have loose and floppy joints and the paint apps will range from decent to “Did a kid paint this?” I can’t recommend bootlegs for what they are but it does allow some collectors to obtain pieces like this Ryuk that can go for over $100 MISB for a genuine figure or $20 or under for a bootleg.
