The SM Mall of Asia is undergoing an expansion project since 2014, featuring new expansion areas for retail establishments and new indoor and outdoor amenities, including a football field and the installation of roof solar panels at the mall.

A new two-level expansion is currently under construction at the top of the Main Mall and Entertainment Mall. It is expected to be fully complete by 2024. It will connect to the mall carpark buildings.
