Swansboro, sometimes called "the friendly city by the sea" is located in North Carolina, along the Atlantic Ocean. It is a nice destination for boaters and fishermen. Swansboro sits across the Intracoastal Waterway from Hammocks Beach State Park and is a popular destination for tourists, outdoor enthusiasts and it is an important recreational fishing and boating destination. It has a diverse selection of restaurants and shopping much of which is located along the Intracoastal Waterway or White Oak River basin. Many waterfront restaurants allow for boaters to dock outside their establishments. It is a nice place to eat sea food. of course!

oh my gosh!!! the crape myrtles are beautiful! I spent many of summers in swansboro as a teen I stayed with my sister for the summers. boy i mis nc.

I gotta say, there's a lot of towns and cities in our home state that are boros. But Swansboro is the best town to live and raise a family.

I am from North Carolina. In the 1960’s my family had the opportunity to purchase a small second home on the river in Swansboro for $12k, but my uncle thought it was too expensive. Ha ha ha.

Hello, I want to move to somewhere within a 30 minute drive of my son’s family that live in Newport, NC. I’m from Lake Stevens, WA. I’m used to being in too urban an area, too much crime, but great hospitals. Not a big ocean person but that’s where my son lives. I need good non-seafood restaurants, preferably Thai & Greek. Where do u recommend?
