I was a performer fir the grand opening of this beautiful park 20 years ago! I performed as a sword fighter in the courtyard of the fortress (in front of the volcano!) It is, by far, the best Disney park of them all. What a pleasure that experience was.

This is one of the best walking tours of Tokyo DisneySea I have ever seen. The only drawback is the unfortunate circumstance of Port Discovery being down for refurbishment, and other areas of refurb going on.

The sightlines, theming, and lack of traditional hub-and-spoke layout are incredible. This park puts every other Disney park to shame. Oh wait, it's not owned and operated by Disney. Guess that explains it.
@kentslocum

@@WolverineXOXO I understand that. But the Oriental Land Company is the primary owner and operator, and they set the budget for DisneySea. Although OLC is contrctually obligated to use Walt Disney Imagineering for design and construction, they often provide Imagineers with much higher budgets and more creative freedom than Disney's other parks. So it's no wonder that DisneySea turned out better than other Disney-owned properties.

@meanderingmouse
@meanderingmouse 3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely ZERO reason to worry about the language barrier in Tokyo or, especially, at the resort. The cast members are AMAZING at working with foreigners to understand needs and there is a lot of English writing and dialogue around the parks. I’ve crossed the Pacific from Texas more times than I care to count. If you let your fear of a different language hold you back from going, you are missing out on the best Disney resort on Earth. The customs snd culture of Japan is one of the best things about foreign travel. It’s an invaluable education. Tokyo and the rest of Japan is amazing as are their people. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about China. Hong Kong isn’t as bad as the mainland as that’s a world class city with the most spectacular skyline on Earth. Get out there and explore Japan when travel restrictions are lifted. It will change your life for the better and you won’t like America as much upon return as they just do things right over there and there are soooo many little things that make you say, “duh, that’s so nice and makes life easier..why don’t we do that in America?” Laff.

You'd be fine. Every time I've been to Japan as long as you are respectful and calm about needing help, mostly everyone will. It's not France or anything that bad.

@@meanderingmouse Because here in America we have ways of making our melting pot of personalities and backgrounds co exist ,but not on a platonic so to say kind of basis("I respect your position/place etc. ,But please keep it to yourself ..so to say")....There is nothing like being as close to 💯% on the same page..as one can be, when it's the case Amazing Things Can Occur(You can send people to the moon...or even Build a Dream like the Original Disney Theme Park🤗💯...😏😉).
