Another stupid comment. A 20% Lin Dan vs. a Taufik Hidayat that doesn't care about winning at ALL. People are REALLY holding onto this and can't let it go. Taufik has great skills, but at this point, any random almost beating Taufik in the 1st round. Lin Dan walking around the court is better than the games in 2022? 🥱🥱🥱 People perceive the past as if it's better than it actually was. Lin Dan is literally sleeping in this game and needed almost NO effort. Wake up to reality. People keep saying this was the best era, but only Lin Dan, Lee Chong Wei, and Chen long were at the top. Taufik disappeared after Sydney Olympics and WC 2005. The next ten years, only those 3 at the top, then the rest were all over the place. Victor Axelsen doesn't HAVE another rival, and their is no other third player as well, so people keep bringing up this era is weak compared to the old era. Yet, the top ranked 2 - 20 players of THIS ERA would destroy the top ranked 4 - 20 of LD/LCW/CL era. You think Chou,Ginting,Momota,LZJ, Shi Yu Qi, Lakshya, Srikanth, and Kunlavat are losing to Bao ChunLai, Son Wan Ho, Lee Hyun iL, Boonsak Ponsanna, Wang Zheming? There were no great players that challenged the top 3 of the old era. Maybe ONCE in a BLUE MOON, they would give trouble, but this is later on when all the top 3 were already ending their careers. People are so clouded by their memories that it's beyond frustrating. The skill level is MUCH higher, and techniques are better. With time, everything improves. Yet, people living in the past. 😑😑😕😕👌🏾👌🏾🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

For me Taufik Hidayat has good footstep and he stability gameplay and perfect backhand type. Lin Dan has also good footwork and aggressive smash.

A bit sad cos Taufik is past his prime here. So it wasn’t as good a match compared to when they were both in their primes

Nobody is close to Lin Dan, his sense of reading the opponents is really awesome. No one comes close to it, and the person after Dan is our dato LCW. can't compare these two with any one, not even Peter gade or hidayat. Gade had those trick shots in his arsenal and hidayat is known for his backhand play. But Dan and LCW are far superior than them.

I'm a solid fan of Taufik Hidayat, he's like my role model in badminton. But I gotta say, I agree with you. Super Dan is just an absolute beast at court. Only his own age can beat him.

Taufik in his peak.. easily win, LD, LCW and others.. he had all the champion title.. world, olympic and others compare to LCW

I agreed but only with Gade. He is under than those 3, the reason TH is behind because his prime is short and too early. Like Indonesian athletes they are not consistent coz the organization is kinda garbage. IMO, in terms of natural talent TH and LD is over LCW. In terms of dedication LCW is over LD and TH. Amongst those 3 in their prime, i would say TH or LD are superior than LCW. I watched TH in his early prime 2000s eras, his footwork and power is gifted just like early LD in 2008.

SEEMS still favor---- hidayat on skill,, the hand/wrist control movement of the racket, the play line, placement,, from dead corner to dead end corner, opposite corner,, front both corner, side lines,, all over where the shuttle flying to-----I call this is a playline,,, I believe----hidayat earns an upper hand..

Lindan was copying Taufik styles from netting, drives, tactical play. But Lin Dan has more powerfull smash.
