BKC really needs to build public parking towers with public underground parking having CCTV, and then completely ban street-side parking. 4-lanes roads have become 2-laned roads, and 2-laned roads have become 1-laned.

There are parking lots around. The problem are mostly these yellow plate Ubers who don’t want to pay and end up clogging the streets by parking right under the no-parking sign. But yes, BKC could do with more parking lots in general.

things will fall in place earlier it took 30 yrs to complete 50 kms of national highway now we see world class bridge over ocean 22km completed in record time of 4yrs if you discount the pandemic break it will be still less got it

Office complex doesn't mean an area is developed. Proper road spacing,good etiquettes and awareness in public, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene with utmost priority,good law and order in the region makes an area great. And india is already a cultural country with so many great historical sites that it can cash on for great tourism,these parameters will shape our country and we will become a cultural developed country 😊

Take the tuktuks out, the area looks world class. Road signage and intersection spaces are well planned. After the bullet train station and other private towers are completed, area should look fully developed.

So don't try to be a assh*le since you are rich and can live on your parents or grandparents inheritance. If you are not okay with tuktuks, you can shift to US or UK no one is asking you to stop

Things I've noticed that, if implemented, could make this area a hotspot for tourists: - Complete ban of autos (tuk-tuks) in well-developed areas - Drivers must use indicators when turning left or right - Drivers must follow lane usage properly - Regular road dust cleaning (similar to what the Chinese government does in every city (pressure-washing)) - All taxis should be of a uniform color (such as yellow or blue) - Pedestrians should not walk on the road - Streets should have good lighting as the roads appear dark and dull - Parking issues on the road should be addressed by issuing hourly tickets

Even though the infrastructure is created. 4 lane road is basically a joke in India. Its only 2 lanes that people are able to use it to drive and the remaining 2 lanes are always blocked by vehicles. No proper traffic management and civic sense.

BKC is great work, but if govt wants it to be the flag bearer of developed city, then it needs a lot more finishing.. 1. Roadside parking needs to be controlled 2. Road markings need to be maintained and should not be faded 3. Horn/noise regulation 4. The bkc connector bridge, has that bumpy gap at joints. 😮‍💨

I think its time we upgrade, mordenize the auto rickshaw because it looks like a black mole on beautiful face. Get it all electric and give them a futuristic design, make them more fuel efficient. Also, any automobile should be completely banned from being parked on streets as they affect the speed of vehicles and may also cause accidents. If these two issues are taken care of, then BKC will look no less then Dubai.

The concrete roads need to be repaved with a fresh layer of asphalt and proper lane markings need to be done. Signage is also pretty bad. And please ban the autos here. It's shameful to see such third world jugaad in the CBD of our financial capital.

Definitely better than slums but still extremely far from being comparable to the cities in Developed world. Looks very rough and unmaintained. People are walking on the road and crossing the road from middle, cars park on the road as it seems whoever planned this did not think of parking, dont know what this area looks like in rain and of course we all have no driving sense. Hoping to see those changes in near future.

don't get me wrong, Mumbai has a long way to go... no disrespect but infra suck across India and enforcement of rules are minimum ...there are some fancy parts better than others .... nothing like cities in China ...even chengdu and chongqing are far better... yes u have built some fancy building and narrow roads with side walk.... it needs to be scaled up...until then, Mumbai still takes place of the arm pit of India. No planing for garbage collection, enforcing traffic, high rise parking, improved side walks, lane driving etc.... if u keep voting Thackerary bro's and Pawars etc.... u will keep falling behind. I am no way promoting BJP ....but every time u improve ur infra it is in non cong/ non "T "Bro's / non pawar gov.

India itself have long way to go since infrastructure development started too late wish it started long ago like other countries but unfortunately well it's never late things take time but it does change same goes for India it is progressing rapidly although it will take time but atleast they started it that's all I know and people should appreciate infra development china has communist govt their policy never change with change in govt they never did freebie politics their people are disciplined and work hard and india should learn

We can't match China. Their economy is 5 times ours. Plus they invest heavily in urban infra while India is still stuck in rural mindset. The FSI in our cities is low, otherwise I see no reason why we can't have bigger skyscrapers.

china started in 1960s with dictatorial authority and India started in late 90s with democracy.This is the difference.Hence now china is affluent and strong and disciplined while India is unruly indisciplined and overall poor.One mumbai doesn't change the regular India.
