Great video This guy deserves an award I just replace my radio and it’s awesome so easy to install and sound quality is great. Now i have wireless Bluetooth,auxiliary,and HD radio and the whole interior changes with only this radio changes looks way modern

You had added a unit with HD Radio. That makes all the difference having digital channels and subchannels with no advertising, Just go to HD radio website and with your zip code will tell you all the digital channels you have in your area. I am in Houston and I love my 80s and 90s subchannel, beat satellite radio! I have a 2019 corolla and I just added a pioneer unit with android auto and HD radio. I could not be more happy. Black Friday is coming... Get some new speakers too.

Excellent explaination! I am currently considering replacing the JBL E7008 radio, CD, nav head unit in my 2007 Limited. This JBL system has 8 speakers but is not the top of the line Synthesis system. Unfortunately it has a sub-woofer which is blown . I'm looking for a modest system utilizing the existing front and back seat door speakers and plan on disabling the sub-woofer all togeather, if possible. Your video used a couple of harnesses and so it was basically a plug and play. My question is did you have to deal with a sub-woofer and if so, did you use the sub or bypass it. thx

I have the Pioneer AVH-X2700BS it does not have the big buttons, that look outdated and got with the Microphone and also was able to add a backup cam. Kicker Subwoofer in the back and APM going to add Navigation next

Did the radio have an input for a back up cam? And if so would it be difficult to wire the camera to the head unit?

i did this swap with the same yaris radio, but i have a 2003 4runner. the yaris radio bolts right up but does not look as flush as yours. i have a 1cm gap around the radio...maybe the bracket is different for your 4runner.....what year and model is your oem radio? my oem radio looks different than yours....i will try to find the same brackets as your original stereo to close the gaps around my radio. thanks!!

I did this with a Sony headunit last year and replaced all the speakers with kickers, and it’s been absolutely great. Looking at your truck though, I’m just now realizing how bad my seats look. Did you get slip covers for yours, or is that custom upholstery?

fun fact, i installed a 2019 toyota 86 radio in my 05 tundra with the same harnesses. so it should work in the 4runners too. even added a front and rear camera that i can control with the steering controls! just another radio option that plugs right in like this one.
