I go over all of the mods on a 97 3rd gen 4runner that is a mild baja overland build.

Very nice 4Runner. The whole truck is awesome, but I think I’m most impressed how good that DIY wheel cover looks being you made it from scratch. Good Stuff.

Incredible! The Rhino liner paint looks amazing! Overall a really great and capable build. You went with nothing super fancy and all proven items, which I really like. I'm looking forward to more video clips your willing to share. Thank you!

Diggin the rhino liner. Nice setup overall. I like the versatility to still carry a variety of stuff inside… for me: mtn bike, water skis/wakeboards, hunting gear, etc.

Nice runner. Saw this in my feed and figure I check out your build. Really like what you’ve done. Need to get me front and rear bumper idk which I want yet. And may get those wheels, where’d you get those pro comps? Gave me some ideas what I could do. Maybe do that when it’s time to paint mine.

Thanks man! I believe the offset is positive 6 and that’s why I run the spacers 1.25” I got the wheels at 4wp and they were like 110 a wheel.

Looking good! In the process of rebuilding the top end on my 97 and getting my 2000 up to par. What group is it that you mention quite a bit throughout the video? I consider my build a Baja build as well since I drive deep into Baja and want functionality, reliability but also remain incognito.

What wheel offset are your wheels? Im trying to get 16x8 also but not sure if -12 offset is too much with 265/75R16 i want to be able to flex to the max if needed without hitting fenders. Also if i ever wan to go 33s on the same 16x8 -12. I only have about 2 inch cheap lift. Ome rear springs and 5100 Bilsteins all around with original front 4runner springs in the middle notch

So weird I replied to this and my comment didn’t stick. I believe they’re positive 6 and that’s why I’m running the spacers I thought they were suppose to be 0 offset but i think 0 only comes on 17s You really don’t need 3 inch lift for 33s it’s mostly all in alignment and quality upper control arms and good caster over lift.

@@fotomotoxxiii i ended up ordering 17x8½-0 offset with 275/70 a 32" i dont want to bang or cut anything on it.

Still liking the tires? Looking to get a set here in the next couple weeks, not sure if I want these, recon grapps in the 295/75r16 or maybe km3 if I go mud terrain. Not much input on off road performance for either the recon or these. Would have expected to see more now they have been out a couple years.
@fotomotoxxiii8 күн бұрын
Super happy with them would buy again. But I love km3 one of my favorite tires too
@adsnse69587 күн бұрын
@@fotomotoxxiii they both look to be a great tire. I just wish the Toyo was available in more sizes for 16” or it would be a super easy choice.

How are you like the Rt Trail? Have you experience with them in snow yet? I got some general grabber x3, they're ready to be replaced. Not sure to go with the same set or try these new rt trail. Thank you

Best tires I’ve ran so far. I’ve had wild peaks and bfgs and hankooks before. The Toyo are ages better in everything and yes I’ve done some snow but mostly rain and mud and rocks and desert all gtg and especially on hwy they’re smooth and quiet
