I went to an ENT and got diagnosed with TMJ and he ordered me to go to a dentist/orthodontist and have a bite guard made asap.. and prescribed me a muscle relaxer for the time being, because it was so bad I couldn't chew without a migraine forming at that point. It was good that I went to the ENT first because my insurance wouldn't have covered the bite guard if I had just gone to the dentist/ortho first.. I needed a "doctors diagnosis" to be covered. I hope you can get to a doctor sooner rather than later, I know how bad it can hurt!

Hey happy Caturday! Happy Birthday Sebi! I am home from my trip to Pa. I had a good time! I can’t believe my grandma is 100! My sis and I tried to get the number balloons for her bday but of course they were out of one of the numbers. Oh well it’s all good! We got her a regular happy birthday balloon. I haven’t tried Bobayo yet but I have to run an errand over there so I might stop by! The brown sugar latte sounds good!

Some people say Botox can help TMJ I have tmj with a night guard so days it’s very very bad my doctor told me to take Zyrtec because the air pressure can make it worse!

I had TMJ years ago and the dentist is the place to go the doctor will just tell you to go see the dentist, i had a splint made to wear at night so my jaw was in place and i could clench my teeth at night in my sleep

What is sun tea? I get my jaw massaged and put back into alignment by remedial massage not cracked but gently put back into place. It has helped so much with my grinding, clenching and waking with a sore jaw and neck

Mine get like that all the time. You have an infection starting in the tubes that run from your ears down to your mouth and nose. The pain you feel is pressure buildup. Try doing a salt rinse to help it. And run some for your nose through one nostril out the other to try and help flush it . Mine gets so bad that it hurts to open my mouth and then I get bad headaches from it.

Mouth guard at night made by ur dentist helps me, also restict ur mouth opening and eat soft food. Ibuprofen and tylenol. Or if u go to u doc muscle relaxers

Wear a over-the-counter mouthguard at night continue ibuprofen and icing. I had such a bad case of it my jaw locked, and I had to have surgery.

She just needs to muzzle her mouth so she doesn’t bully a mom who lost her daughter to suicide! She shouldn’t exploit her kids either like she is but here we are!

Hi Kendall. My son has TMJ. He got diagnosed by his dentist who made a mouth guard for him. He wears it overnight and it seems to be helping him. If you grind at night the mouth guard will help that too. You are definitely dealing with a stressful situation which may be causing excessive grinding, in turn, causing this flare up. So my advice is to go to your Dentist rather than your PCP for this. I wish you all the best. Feel better. Happy 13th Birthday Sebi!!!

What can also help is not running her mouth on the internet about a dead child while she harasses the mother! Maybe she’ll feel less anxiety if she got off social media and got in a therapist office it’s obvious she’s needing the attention.

Hi Kendall! Happy belated 4th of July. I too have TMJ. The best treatment I’ve done for myself was going to a chiropractor. They can massage your neck and crack it during an adjustment. That helps relieve a lot of the pressure that comes along with the flare ups.

A good massage therapist should be able to help with you with your TMJ issue. Just ask for a head and neck massage. Hope this helps.
