After months of planning we finally got the opportunity to explore a place which is virtually untouched and access is very rarely granted. What an epic experience, this trip has been on our bucket list for many years.
Join us as we venture to the geographic most northern point accessible by 4WD in New Zealand
We’d also like to remind everyone that North Cape is NOT open to the public.

Virtually untouched? You kidding? Its been logged in the early days, burnt over, cleared for farming & failed. What you see is the dregs of a once pristine hunk of NZ.

tip397 you are right, Lage areas have been farmed and are now plantation Forest. But there are some untouched areas too.

I didn't notice you dropped your tyre pressure much. In Australia people get down to around 20psi for that terrain.

Francocallederivas, we did drop our pressures just didn’t show it. On the gravel Dan and us were sitting at around 25psi and on the soft sand and dirt we went down to 15-18psi.

Awesome experience. Good to see these places protected from the many 4WD enthusiasts who would just tear it up and ruin it. Interesting to see the typical homophobic comments below. Challenging this type of mentality - particular to the way people treat the track - is awesome. Keep at it. Your content gets better!
