it is hard to find but it comes off the roads at the southern back of Flowerdale. Simon named it frying pan track because it has a clearing for a house block but the council shafted the guy and wouldn't let him build. In summer the clearing is like a frying pan - hot. We reckon it comes off Silver Creek Rd and connects all the way through to the Flowerdale Rd.

haha, yes he did get it back. It went under and the vehicle drove over it but once it dried out it was fine!

It's usually a case of tyre pressure. Recently we have been down to 10PSI for soft sand and even the Navara was driving through no drama.

@@4WDTV Yeah he was at 12psi and I was running 20psi and my y62 was literally no throttle rolling through the sand while he could not even get traction to move at all. (maybe its a d22 thing, and also no weight in the rear.)

yeah ok, what is wrong with that? The 3.0L Patrol is well known for being a slug with a lack of cubic inches, a stack of turbo lag and a dulled down ECU. And that is exactly what the throttle controller does; it remaps the throttle response and curve allowing you to access what ever Hp you have in a far more efficient manner. So especially when you have no run up and a steep bump up to get over, having a more responsive pedal gives you that instant punch to pull through stuff.

@@4WDTV what is wrong with that? Where do I begin? I know its for advertising and that’s fine, but at-least they could come up with something more subtle. Jacking up U9 and suggesting its gonna help you get out of the ruts is somewhat miss-leading.

@@06hunter54 right...so you are saying power and acceleration offer no assistance in 4wdriving? You are saying that being able to power into something from a short distance isn't going to help? And you are saying the term 'bump it up' is a fallacy, as reducing lag and having quicker access to your power offers no assistance?

@@4WDTV To make it simple for you, throttle controller doesn’t give you any more power then you already have. Acceleration is the same just hit the pedal!! Eliminating lag wont make any difference. I dont see why you are so confused? 😆

You are definitely right in saying the throttle control does absolutely nothing to increase power but you are wrong ion your understanding of how it allows you to access the available power. It not only reduces the lag but it also changes the acceleration curve. Anyway, the key point here, the reason why the guy who owns the company and us are saying we know it makes a difference is all based on the situation it was in. You have a meter to accelerate, to gain the power you need to bump the tyre up out of the rut. There is no way you Arte going to be able to do that with the inherent delay. Hence, with the throttle controller dialled up, you get to access the power without the lag and with a more rapid rate of power delivery. Allowing you to bump up out of the hole. Is that three times we have explained it now? It's basic physics and some common sense on how acceleration works but it's not that hard to see why it is correct.

agree with that mate. It's a bit of both ways though from click bait to actually showing how well the Navara went! He gave it a super hot crack and got further that the Hilux with lockers. And as for the DMax 😂, he took the chicken track!

Well to be honest, I agree with you... but others in the team like the ambience. Audio is a challenge mate and we will keep working on it.

No it's Private property

LOL, why is that? How do you think we knew about it? We were invited. The private property is only a very small section and the track leads you straight into State Forest. It is open for public access thanks to the way the guy was treated by the local council.
