Dominic Warr In terms of F1, I disagree with all my heart!! Imo many fans just love it these days but in the end of day it often turn out they were Hammy fan boys all along, obviosuly they will use any rationalization to claim that´s not the case. Problem is way too many of them have no problem do diss the 4 years of Vettel domaninace or the 5 year Schumi dominance at Ferrari (of which both periods had at least some years of real competition up til the very last race which 2014 and now possibly 2015 will never come close to). Way too much regulation for my taste, why even call it Formula 1 anymore with all these restrictions often pushed by the big corporations/manufacturers in the sport. Engineers have no freedom anymore and the cars sound like like my vacuum cleaner at home, they even have to use artifical systems liek DRS to see overtakings 100% artificial and therefor it suck but yeah that´s just my own opinion obviosly. The drivers are not heroes anymore, no risks involved etc.. etc.. no wonder proper fans abonding F1 in drows, heck in China they even put asphalt on that pice of grass where Halilton messed up in Mclaren back in -07. Bring back the heroes of F1, cars that make them fall down on the ground when stepping out of the car, exhausted after a race like in the Senna days. Technology have reach a point today where I realize we cannot have 100% free development, but we could have close to free develpment if Mercedes, Ferrari, Red bull & co agreed upon a cost cap. 100 mil should be enough for develepment and for the driver pay, you put 50 mil on the a driver you have 50 mil for the car, simple and will create superb racing.

Better racing?! You mean the borefest procession it's been for 10+ years? V8 Supercars/WEC have more action in one race than one season of F1.

well,.. indeed but this sound is nothing compared to Ferrari FXX (Enzo) sound. Thats a sounds sooooo much better and is even louder

Schleberger you're joking right? Have you seen the One:1 on track? It's basically the same thing, but with less power.

Harrison Conyers No i haven't. I just know that Koenigsegg never really proved any of it's numbers, and hasn't any published lap times (exept the time on the TopGear track which isn't all that great). I expect them to be extremly fast in a straight line, but to be a proper handfull when going 10/10s around a track. Could be wrong tough, but Ferrari, Pagani, McLaren and Porsche have proven their racing pedegree multiple times.

Schleberger Look at Shmee150's video of the Koenigsegg going around SPA. It nearly made easy work of a Gallardo GT3 car.

princeworm Believe me. It is! But some sing and lose while others sing and win races.. Either way, the spectator will always enjoy each car flying by ;P

princeworm It sort of is.. Bernie Eccelstone was livid about the noise of the new turbo 6's and some track organizer wanted to sue FIA because the sound is a big part of what makes people come to the track to watch the races. I read somewhere that they are going to make the cars louder next year.

+Marco Tomaselli Not next year but in 2017 they talking about increasing horsepower 1000hp, introducing pit stop refills and removing the fuel flow limit and more wider aggressive looking cars like in the 80s but with a modern more angular touch.

F1 used to sound much better because in the old days there were much less restrictions. Right now the rev limit is 19,000 rpm, before it was 22,000, and ~8+ years ago there was no such restriction. I've heard of Ferrari's doing 30,000 rpm 10 years ago.
