Brad Sisson Thank you sir, since this video I moved the body forward about 4 more inches and put military bead lockers on it. I am going to build the portion of frame that sticks out into the bumper and mount a winch on it. I will be back at it soon and will Post updates but I have been in the process of moving.

I actually got really lucky and it lined up pretty well. I didn’t have to do anything sketchy and didn’t have any extreme angles to cause binding/wear at the joints.

@@alexklym That’s awesome. That was my main concern. I’ll have to take some measurements and look into it myself. Thanks. Given your use of a 4bt, do you think a 6bt would have fit in the spot if you hadn’t swapped it? Thanks for the help and don’t worry, this was my last question. Haha

MaD FaB No, I cut all the old mounts off and fabricated and welded new ones on. I got lucky with how a lot of things lined up and it was/is still a ton of work. I do not necessarily recommend it haha. Eventually I’m going to get another video out and I’ll do a breakdown of the build including the mounts. I have just been working out bugs and cleaning it up lately.

@@alexklym did you sit the van on a ford frame or was it a dodge frame?

MaD FaB I put the van body on a 99 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 truck frame.

Peter. Hatch Nice, I would only recommend trying it if the wheel base’s are very close, you have a lift, and are a pretty good welder/fabricator. I shouldn’t have done it haha.

mgmetalworks Thanks man, I was close to being able to drive it but then I ripped out the dash and all electrical so idk how loud it is going to be yet....I am sure it will be plenty loud though haha. I just checked out your video, that’s a badass van.

The Wolfe Fam The chassis is a 98 Dodge Ram 2500 chassis that had a 24 valve 5.9 cummins in it. I pulled that engine and installed the 4bt. I got the 4bt from a friend and it had been pulled out of a step van (bread truck)

Rayan Agarm I kinda got burnt out on the project and spending money so it isn’t 100% complete yet. I have driven it around the neighborhood and everything seems fine but I have an injection pump leak and a few other bugs to work out. The big heavy unbalanced military run flats suck too....

I would not recommend it! I got lucky with a lot of things and how they lined up but it was still a ton of work. It nickeled and dimed the hell out of me as well. It also helps if you are a skilled welder/fabricator with a lift.

gizzy guzzi eh I just got sick of making videos, I’ll post an update soon. I’m going to drive it to work 30 miles on August 9th, I’ve only driven it around the block as of right now.
