Your VANs are cool, so cool that I could drive them even with the steering wheel on the right side, and I consider the steering wheel on the right side to be profanations of the car! 🙂

Amazing conversion. I haven’t even looked at how much this would cost, but I’m guessing it’s way, way over my 100k budget. Very nice all the same.

Three things make a good camper. The right base vehicle Time spent on R&D Quality finish. It’s nice to see a small British company push things out a bit and have the confidence and belief in their products.

These RP vans are my absolute favourites and I've looked at everything over the last few months. Having used their configurator a few times I'm going to guess that this van is around the £200k mark!

Good design. Shame you don't do the large motorhomes - would be interested to see how you'd use the space. One thing I haven't seen yet is a decent kitchen/larger kitchen, especially on the 7metre motorhomes. I'm sure there would be a lot of interest in something you could actually cook a decent meal, especially if touring for weeks, or full time living.

Just a thought ... with 2 Fresh water 100 ltr tanks could you not have a rain water inlet (with overflow) into maybe one of the tanks with a basic filter fitted with a leaf grid that stops it from clogging up. Shouldn’t be too hard to construct ... let me know your thoughts Regards Ian

Hi Ian. We would prefer to not contaminate the fresh drinking water tanks with the debris from the roof water etc etc but I do see you like to think of new ideas and thanks for sharing. We are able to fit filters and UV light water treatment to help if customers require water to be fully cleaned before use. Have a great day regards RP Team :)

What I don’t get is with all these vans sold each year , how is it that there are no KZfaq videos of the people who got one , I’d order one but waiting untill there’s better solar capacity as I think 480 in total is not enough to be off grid

Hi, thanks for your comment :) We haven't asked any of our customers to partake in a KZfaq video, is there something you were hoping to see in particular? We do post customers pictures and videos on our social media if you wanted to head there. With regards to the solar capacity, if you look at the video again it explains that the off grid capability is not reliant on the solar panels, the additional power is from the additional alternator on the vehicle engine. As long as you have diesel in the tank then this will recharge batteries and solar power is also harnessed in addition to this. I hope this is helpful but please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries :)

Years ago back in 2018, I thought about dropping big money on a Camper / Luxo van like this. After my experience with Police and how aggressive they have become? (and the horror videos I have seen also coming out of places like Arizona, and California I can confidently say that if I was going to purchase something like this? It would have to be in Europe or elsewhere.

What happens when the grid goes down and there is no sun? you will be glad to have Gas. Great Van but a bit too much money. You could buy a house for that price. These are for people who have a lot of money to spend and have no mortgage.

Hi Mr Press Photographer 4 . Rebellion R2E charges at 190amp 24 volt just on tick over . No problem not having power as we have a 5000 watt generator fitted to the engine . Thanks for your questions 👍

This is one of the best things about being British: American narrators are loud, excitable and too over-the-top with everything, and British narrators are one-toned, straight-to-the-point and leave you to make your own conclusions. Strangely, the same applies to motorhomes and camper vans: American RVs are overweight and over-the-top with ridiculous accessories that makes you wonder whether the holiday was worth it as just switching on one of those monstrosities is already draining your money and that’s before you’ve driven off your driveway, where a camper van is more practical and you make your own comfort, reminding you on your holiday, you are on holiday. Those RVs aren’t about driving-holidays, it’s more about how wealthy you are, I mean why would you have an electric lazy boy recliner with heat and massage on a juggernaut when you have one at home? And how ridiculous to have a dishwasher. The point of going on a driving-holiday is to have fun and adventures and roughing it up a little, in a way going back to basics so that your head can chill. Admittedly, apart from the usual running hot water, kitchenette and a washroom in the camper van, I would like to have a washing machine onboard as having severe health issues, being unhygienic doesn’t work for me. If you want high luxury stuff around you, it’s cheaper to stay home!

@@michaelschneider- Is it really 'dumb' to call combustion 'gas' fuel what it is? In fact the run cost of an LPG generator would be significantly less. Though the max energy output will be lower. This running the engine for electricity is nonsense, you'd burn through your fuel in a few days and have no way to leave. 7 days running the generator for 1-2hrs per day, cooking hot water, dishwasher etc will use 1/3 to 3/8 of the vans fuel at a cost of £28+ and reduce your travel range by the same. Off Grid my 🍑. This is as luxury gimmick.
