Can't believe what a big difference

so I'm watching this 13 years later hoping to improve my 2.2l performance and torque and the only thing that I understood is that I don;t know anything about engines. I'm amazed to see that difference of efficiency...

one of the best videos with real examples .. loved it man, can you do something like this for small bike engines

Pretty good video! Thanks for posting it. So what was the final dyno result? Where to get those inlet valves? What kind changes were made to the intake cam?
@mikerieck3066 жыл бұрын
The most important step when installing oversize intake valves is to bore the seat ID to 90% of the OS valve OD. I go to 85% on the exhaust side
@Bernd47115 жыл бұрын
It depends on how much is the inlet/outlet valve Ratio.

Best video so far.. logically putting science to a test

I seem to remember about 25KW. DOn't remember how much torque. But it was more that noticeable - that cruiser went like stink - especially on the dunes.

did it increase or at least maintain its fuel economy???

And in the end you said it didn't make one single iota of a difference to the fuel consumption. 😢

I disagree a little bit on the exhaust valves. Tulip shape flows better on exhaust!
@matttopp55153 жыл бұрын
Please explain more bout it by your side tqtq
@josevelez493 жыл бұрын
@@matttopp5515 On natural aspirated engines , the tulip valve on the exhaust side promotes better gas scavenging! the profile on the valve has a better contour . I have done the homework on Harley engine with good results! On blow engines is another story. The flowmaster shows some improvements. But the other variables , like cam shaft lift, round or square ports, etc. That particular chamber is a pentroof type, which I think , should not have those valves in the first place. On bathtub, or Hemi design works great!

maybe just wack a turbo on
@ultimateracingtips27996 жыл бұрын
Takes real skill to know how to cut valves and work a cylinder head. Any donut can slap a turbo on a car and take it to a tuner.

More air means more fuel. It's very simple. Everything that has been done mostly isn't fuel related. Mill the heads.. increase compression and work the exhaust side of the port and manifolds.. maybe a different exhaust valve but I wouldn't go that far and be done with it. Increase compression and air going out then you gain mpg. Everything else will need more fuel. Another worthless video of misguiding information
