So my license lapsed & I had to re-do the classes, clinicals, & take the state prometrics test again. . Alot had changed since the last time I had to take the prometric test. Mind you I did not get to test until 10 1/2 months after I completed the class due to covid and various rescheduling issues... if I failed I probably would had to complete the classes again all over again cuz of how close it was to the one year dead line... I watched your videos non stop for 2 weeks and if it was not for them I wouldn't have PASSED on my 1st try! I am so grateful for your youtube channel! ❤️ I literally had FORGOT EVERYTHING being out of the class soooo long and having a completely different job now. Thank you!!

Her videos are VERY helpful passed my clinicals yesterday with flying colors.. however, y’all have to remember that her video is kind of old so some testing centers may consider the way she teach and some may not! I had a older nurse so she allowed everything … other girls in the testing room said they had different ways of the way they was taught but o highly recommend her videos

The videos are great. They really help me refresh my memory as I'm taking my exam tomorrow. However, here in Michigan, turning the patient away from you is a big No no, and you always need to raise the bed according to your heights.

Different states have different requirements. Please refer to your state's specific testing requirements to ensure adequate skills performance. Since Prometric (the testing agency) does not REQUIRE raising the bed, it is not demonstrated on this video. Thank you for your comment!

These videos are very helpful🤗 Question: does it matter if I replace the cover sheet with my gloves because at class when we practiced our skills we were told to only remove our gloves at the end when we were ready to wash our hands
@4yourcna
@4yourcna 7 жыл бұрын
Think of it this way: at the end of the skill, your gloves are dirty. Do you want to touch the sheet (that is going to go right up near her face) with dirty gloves? It is best to remove your gloves before touching the sheet to prevent cross-contamination. Hope this helps!

Could I possibly fail for using more wash cloths? I have noticed that this is the lastest CNA skills video so I am unsure. I have seen quite a few using different techinques. Thanks! and great video.
@4yourcna
@4yourcna 7 жыл бұрын
Your supplies are not graded during the exam (there is no checkpoint that states "obtained the appropriate number of washcloths") but, you are graded on what you DO with those supplies. So not getting enough washcloths so that you can wash AND rinse with 2 different washcloths will affect your grade. Getting too many supplies is not graded either, but the evaluator will restrict you if you try to grab 12 washcloths for one skill. Remember, other people have to test and they have to have supplies too! Never put unused items back on the clean supply shelf. Use what you take or put them in dirty linen. Hope this helps!

My exam is soon! But I was taught the "mitten" towel method and not the "four leaf fold" and it looks easier but too nervous to try it for the exam.
@4yourcna
@4yourcna 7 жыл бұрын
It is best to use the leaves method (as demonstrated in this video) because it ensures that a clean area of the washcloth is used for each stroke, to prevent cross contamination. This type of separation is almost impossible to achieve with the mitt method. Maintaining a clear separation of areas used on the washcloth for each stroke is a heavily graded point on the exam, as this is often the origin of urinary tract infections in clinical settings. Hope this helps! Good luck!
