Great review. I'm a reservist and I'm considering purchasing this from amazon in OD for EDC & military use.

I remember seeing it and I'd never heard of Geocaching before this video. I've had a fair few days out on the moors off the back of this video. How did you find the Rush 24 long term? I think it looks and feels cool but the 72 that I used as a full time duty bag ended up ripping on the thread of the bottom tension strap. I did have it loaded but expected more longevity.

@@sawdustandsurvival I used it quite a lot, and never had any issues with stitching or build quality. I sold it just last year. Kind of in between packs just now.

@@Path2Peak I've gone back to simplicity as the organisation got too much. I organised myself out of knowing where anything is and found it annoying. I recently got a Berghaus Munro which I'm very happy with but wish I'd have got the molle version to attach a red bike light onto. I use it for cycling to work. It's basically one huge dump pack with compression straps and a pocket in the lid. Within the bag anything small goes in a Snugpak drawstring bag and everything else is just thrown in and compressed.

Great bits of kit, I have a 24 and a couple of 72's, I also have a rush Moab 10 for my commute. 24's are now issued to specialist police officers, and about time too ! As you said, the storage and compartments in these bags are fantastic. Great vid mate 👍

Whoa. Pretty impressive how much stuff you can fit in it, pretty much all the basics for a camping trip. Just ordered a Rush 12 also in Sandstone on sale as an EDC day bag, may get one of these as well though to have different sizes for different 'missions'! Thanks..

Dude, love your vids shot outside. Nothing more boring than watching someone review a pack or gear on a tabletop. And like others have said, totally dig that coat, too.

Hey, I know I'm late to the party, but I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your vids. To me, there's nothing more boring than someone sitting in front of a camera droning on about pockets and pouches and such. Love it that you're outside in that fantastic landscape showing what the bag can do. Hell, half the time I can't tell what you're saying and I still love it! :)

Update - been using the Rush 24 and have fitted some webbing and military grade two way Nexus quick release buckle as a waist strap. Makes a huge positive difference to how the bag sits on your back. Down side it makes your back very sweaty as there doesn't seem to be enough space between the bag and your back. I also find it uncomfortable if using with just a thin light shirt. OK when you have your winter coat or fleece on as this pads it out a little, but by itself with light clothing is uncomfortable across the shoulders.

Ive just got a Rush 24 and I can get a Nalgene Stainless Steel 38oz Water bottle in the side pockets. On all reviews Ive seen for the Rush 24, people say you can't fit a large Nalgene bottle in the side pocket. Granted it is a tight fit, but can be done.

Nice video, thanks. I have the same pack in FDE for over a year now, its very tough and well thought out. In fact my boy liked it so much he has a black one as his high school bag, I guess we'll see how tough it really is after a few years of being hammered around a school :)

It's not as breathable as goretex, but then it's half the price. I find it ok if you wear correct high wicking layers. I did get a small bit of moisture, after a hard slog, but my layers were dry and so was I . I wouldn't wear it on a hot day. It works very well at stopping the wind and you don't need much underneath . Ill try and review it when I get time.

I gave you a like, very informative video. One question though, how tall are you? The reason I'm asking is because I am about to order one, however I am 5'7" and plan on using it for school as well (I don't want it to look comical). If you are near in height then I believe it should be fine.

The material is quite water resistant, however the zips are not aqua guard but do have a flap which cover them. This stops the rain quite well. The pack can get wet but didn't seem to wet through. But I always use dry bags for important gear. The pack has drain holes so don't stand it in poled water.
