i like the camera, recording yourself is insanely helpful cos when you're behind the kit, you don't really hear your flaws

Moises is a pretty good app the features are insane being able to remove drums or remove guitars it's such a a good app I use Moises for drumming along to songs

Melodics is a great PC app for ekits and songsterr is mostly known as a guitar app, but has the drum scores for most songs too

Moises with the trim option to play continuous loops of a tricky part of a song, whilst slowed down with a click.. best thing ever invented for learning drum parts. Use screen record on your phone to add tracks from KZfaq.

Every drummer needs Amazing Slow Downer and Tempo Advance. Those 2 apps are a must.

The husband paid for a lifetime membership in Drumeo, I'm taking lessons with a real person but still check out their videos as they are very helpful.

All the stuff you said about the camera app is 100% true because you can go back to your recordings and see what you need to improve

I use my camera 📷 app to improvise and put more effort on my tempo to see what I need to fix if I hit a tom or cymbal at a wrong time

What about "Drummate"? this app helped me a lot at the beginning learning basic rudiments

Gotta disagree about Soundbrenner. I used it as my main metronome for awhile, for when I didn't need any bells and whistles. I really liked the UI, but over time, the file size became very bloated, the app was absurdly slow to launch, and it became buggy to the point of skipping beats and crashing. And they essentially filled it with ads, including one right at startup you have to close, and a menu item that is really an ad for some service of theirs. I also think the vibrating watch thing is snake oil, but YMMV on that. The bugginess could've been because I was using it on an older phone, but that just goes to show how much the app is compromised by supporting the vibrating watch thing - other simple metronomes don't have that much trouble running on an older phone. I occasionally use Benny Greb's Gap Click. The gap functionality is awesome, and the UI is clean and simple, albeit limited. But for the most part, I'm back to using Tempo Advance for most of my metronome needs. I'm not a fan of the UI, both in terms of appearance and advanced features like song mode, but I have to admit, the basic beats/subdivisions/tempo stuff is very fast and easy to set. I tried PolyNome, and I really liked the original version, but I find the new version tries to do too much and requires too much RTFM to understand. I also wish the dev had released the new version as PolyNome 2 instead of essentially forcing everyone to upgrade from the old version without realizing it (and forcing us to pay a second time to get back full functionality we lost upon upgrade).

Moises does not work with any third party website url's such as KZfaq. ITunes yes, but you can only remove tracks from music 'YOU' own the rights too. This is the information straight from Moises themselves. See below the conversation from Oct 2022 to my question of not being able to use url's from KZfaq or similar websites. So beware people, it will NOT work! MOISES: "KZfaq has specific guidelines set by google so they are not public to be used by other apps, the same goes for spotify for example. You can upload any songs that belong to you, that are found in your device or on your dropbox or google drive". ME: "Okay, so it comes back to why I stopped using it in the first place. There is no platform whereby you can download a song, remove a track, drums in my case, and add your own track. I don't need it for my own material, as I have the individual tracks stems anyway". MOISES: "We understand and we are sorry you are experiencing that difficulty, however that is beyond our abilities because of copyright laws. The songs belong to the artist and platform in which they are".

2:20 dude, wtf this is not even pro level, work on your consistency of 16ths notes if separated on different parts of the drums… like for instance first understand the basic rhythm of your Ghostnotes, and double-check it, when you are applying them in a groove context..

your drums sound terrible. hihat is louder than other drum elements. wrong mic position on snare and over heads u need a recording and mixing engineer. invest on that
