@@omomamaolowo Standards and Poors list of 500 of the biggest companies in the world based in the US. You can google the list yourself. IVV is just the SP500 but it’s also based in Australia, so the tax is a bit less complicated. VOO is also the SP500, but compiled by vanguard and based in the US. Jack Bogel is the guy you should watch interviews with. He invented index investing. The whole point of ETF/index investing is not to try and be complicated and too clever. If you only bought 1, it should be either the total US market or the SP500. Don’t be clever with ‘hedging’ and ‘leveraging’. Buy it. Buy it every month or three with the amount of cash you save for investing and don’t time the market. Just buy. Don’t sell. While you’re doing that, learned about the 4% rule for retirement.

Right, you can avoid the pitfalls associated with lifestyle inflation by consulting a well grounded advisor, to help plan your short- and long-term goals, it all depends on proper guidance. I've watched my income generate wealth over the past 2 years and 6 months, I now own a house fully paid, and with at least $2.2m sitting in savings thus far. All of this is a result of subsequent investments, and following expert advise.

hiya - thanks for the video! I'm just a bit confused, what's the difference between "returns" and "dividends"... do some ETFs give returns + dividends? e.g. if the ETF has a 7% return rate, if it gives a 1% dividends on top of that, I'll be getting an 8% return?
@InvestWithQueenie
@InvestWithQueenie 2 жыл бұрын
Here is the difference between the 2: Total return, often referred to as "return," is a very straightforward representation of how much an investment has made for the shareholder. While the dividend yield only takes into account actual cash dividends, total return accounts for interest, dividends, and increases in share price among other capital gains.

If you buy ETFs every month, doesn't that mean you're paying brokerage fee every month? For instance, if you invest $100/month with commsec then in 12 months you'd have paid $120 just in fees. If you invest a lump sum of $1200/year then the total fee would be equal to $19.95. I know that there's compound interest involved and there're a lot of opinions out there regarding this subject, what are your thoughts on this topic? Great video btw!

Yes I invest when I have about $3k saved which is usually monthly! The brokerage fees really do add up so really whenever I have at least $1-$3k saved I will invest ☺️

When it comes to invest on ASIA, why it is a bit risky because it's only base on Asia n technology? why invest in AU only is not risky then? those Chinese companies that on the list of ASIA, which one is not bigger than some of the Australian companies? You have no idea of those tech companies in China.

I personally like VDHG & IWLD. They are the most globally diversified ETF's on the ASX and both have low fees. They give you exposure to US, Australia, Asia & Emerging markets. If I wasn't stock picking I think i'd end up in one of these. Great video as always Queenie :)

Hi Queenie, i love how you make it so easy for me to understand. And im just wondering you mentioned selfwealth as your platform to buy Australian stocks. And in other video I remember you mention to open a brokerage account with CMN. I’m confused between the two, when u open your brokerage account with CMN, cant you buy stock directly from their website? What about selfwealth? Hopefully it makes sense Thanks queenie in advance for your help

Do you think it's a good idea to buy all 10 ETF stocks?

It depends! Sometimes you can buy a great business like Microsoft or Amazon but at the wrong price so it’s good to research the stocks in detail!

Queenie saying 'stocks only go up' is far too simplistic. In Japan their market crashed in the 80s & only recently recovered. Similarly the ASX just recovered from its pre GFC highs in 2007. In the US there have been times when the market took decades to recover. Arguably we have a world wide bubble which is the greatest in history. Basically the GFC is getting worse as debt has climbed exponentially. Asset prices are at stupid levels. Just look at nvidia at 97 to 1. The coming crash will arguably be awful & extremely long. I would argue its time to hold a lot of cash as valuations are crazy. Your selections of etfs was good.
