Breaks my heart seeing how professional and clean your workshop is, and how nice and professional all your staff are. And I'm here standing in a puddle of coolant getting swore at every day on a cheap machine that won't hold tolerances. One day I'll work in a shop like this

Hell, I am standing in a 16'x16' shed working on a diy cnc, and I can't even really call it a workshop.. Compared to you I am like Bubbles trying to herd cats. I started with a 3d printer, and I hope to work in a real shop one day. Even if I have to slowly build it myself.

You are getting swore at? Look, pandemic or not, you need to put out feelers for a new job ASAP. No one should have to take that on the job in any line of work. That's bullying and abuse. If your boss really believed you were doing a bad enough job to deserve cussing out he'd have fired you already. Think about that. He's using you and bullying you. Don't burn your bridges, don't let on anything at all. Just go find a new job. Put in notice after you land it. You can't expect a recommendation letter from someone like that anyway.

Sounds like a boss isnt doing to good. The workers can be the best in the world, but if the boss does not know how to create a effecient and stable structure, and dont know how to reinvest earnings, then it will most likely never get better :(

Their packing is so rough and to a point of careless to be honest, I would used customized die-cut medium to high density foam if I were to charge people a few hundred USD or thousands of USD per piece. We use it even for aluminum profiles, If the courier guy is unhappy on the day for any reason, all content would be written off.

I am really really impressed with the method, technology and on the top the dedication, sincerity and love between the coworkers they have shown in this video. No music, no sound, no external factors to show how great they are. The work is speaking at 20 million decibel higher than rest. I am so impressed. If I would have been a client I would have stick with this manufacturer till my business remains. RESPECT.

So far, I've been in programming and operating 2 Haas Machines for 5 months, understanding and picking up quickly how to do it (Thank you Titan for you videos). No prier experience in the milling or CNC world besides hitting green for go and keep production flowing. Can't stand tolerances of 20 and 30 thousandths being acceptable. The perfectionist in me can't wait to be working in a top notch, high quality and super organized shop like this one. Impressive and bad a**! Loving this world of CNC manufacturing

Lol, just started laser cutting on a 6kw machine not too long ago, very different from the milling process ive had maybe 2 years of experience, but the G and M coding is similar in nature though different from machine to machine in ways. I also slap that JS on my nest reports with confidence now knowing I've done the best i can with quality control and machining/metallurgical knowledge I've gained by simply watching good folks like you all. Take care now. 😉

Great video demonstrating A - Z. A few comments. First, love the use of a torque wrench. Not enough shops utilize torque wrenches. They really do cut out variables. Next, more than one way to skin a cat in terms of workholding during the machining process. Sometimes it's dovetail, sometimes it's Mitee Bite, sometimes it's VERO-S. And sometimes it's a combination. An example of combination is a MITEE BITE fixture with pull studs that mounts to VERO-S. I'm curious, at the 1:12 minute mark of the video, instead of turning all those wrenches, could you have mounted pull studs under the workpiece and direct clamped to VERO-S?

Well I can tell you from making tons of parts is having a good feel by hand and knowledge of what tools are going to be working. You know if you ever get to work with old school castings with tons of tight tolerance and positioning call outs. Lot of indicating and shimming and last touches before showtime. Knowing sounds is really important.

yeah really the magnisium is one of true nastiest materials to machine it can suddenly harden under stress and the more you push it after that the harder it will be so the tool would snap eventually and if it gets hot just run away because it will burn and there is nothing that you can do about it it has so much energy and the reaction with the oxygen will never stop if you poor water on a burning chunk of magnesium the magnesium will separate the oxygen from the hydrogen in the water it will react with the oxygen and the you have hydrogen all over the place ready to expload just a complete crap same thing with CO2 really would like to see some guidlines about how we machine magnesium safely
@zaknefain100
@zaknefain100 4 жыл бұрын
Use to machine a lot of magnesium for F1. If you treat the material like aluminum you'll be fine. It's not difficult to machine but you need to keep sharp, high positive tooling on it and make sure you have good chip evacuation. Any machine working Mag should also have a fire suppression system installed. Follow the cutting tool manufacturer's guidelines as a starting point.

This feels like a miniseries, from the moment the part was contracted, to initial setup, to the optimization bringing it down to about 15 minutes a part if my eyes don't deceive me, which is an insanely fast time. The shop I work at would take 4-5 hours per part (.025 DoC the entire way as a 3d toolpath. For Everything), at best, and would shoot down any ideas to do it faster other than increase chipload to the point where tools break. I think there's a reason they had to close down during the pandemic, and it has nothing to do with health. I needed this vacation anyway.
