I’m just saying as a life long Batman fan, hearing you purpose Ra’s Al Ghul shouldn’t be a Batman villain may be one of the hottest takes ever. Ra’s’ global agenda is a parallel to Batman’s fight in Gotham. Ra’s believes what he is doing is for the betterment of mankind, but often times he is knocked down a few pegs as Batman usually beats him. I agree that he doesn’t particularly belong in Gotham, but I think if he served as a villain elsewhere it would be devasting

I have to agree with Excelesior, Ra's is just way too important for Bruce's origin story; In particular, the Ra's from *Gotham* seasons 3 &4 , Alexander Siddig was a perfect foil for the ever growing Bruce Wayne played by David Mazouz... We just want to assure Mr Alfred Pennyworth that we can protect Master Bruce, of course.

I've always thought of Ra's as more of a James Bond villain. Not just because of his exotic origins and female companion but because, well, he does indeed pose a global threat. Until recent decades, when the Joker has been increasingly interpreted as an almost godlike being, Batman villains have always been relatively small-scale. The most they want to do is either rule Gotham City's underworld or kill as many people as possible. They'll play politics - even geopolitics - when they have to, but that is never their ultimate goal.

Ra would also make a good Wonder Woman villain or Swamp Thing. What if Ra’s believes that Swampy was comprised of elements from the Lazarus Pit? That would be a good reason for Ra’s to go after Swamp Thing other than the environmental theme.

Quite frankly it would be too late to shelve him in some way or give it to other hero, as the elements like Ra's seeing Batman as his successor or Talia being Bats' love interest caused the rivalry between the two to become way too personal at this point.

I think for many the appeal of Ra's is that he DOESN'T belong in Gotham, so all his stories shake things up by taking Batman out of his element. That said, once you've established him as a global threat, and Batman as connected with other big heroes, it seems insane that he would not call on the Justice League whenever he has to face him.

1) Red Claw: As you pointed out with Ra's, an international terrorist wouldn't be restricted to a single city. I'd make her a Wonder Woman villain since Red Claw is also a hardened warrior but without Diana's kindness. 2) Signal Man: Electrical communication is such a necessity these days that Signal Man should be a key support villain that is always working with other bad guys. I'd make him a Flash villain since Central City's supervillains are more united than Gotham's. 3) King Tut: He's pretty much just Maxie Zeus and Batman doesn't need two of them. I'd give King Tut to Hawk Man. Both are archeologists fascinated with ancient Egypt and Tut could be tied to Carter's pharaoh past as another reincarnate but one stuck in the past. Tut could even be a big threat using Thanagarian weapons. 4) Dr. Phosphorus: The man is a flaming skeleton that kills everyone he comes across. He's too "monster" for Bats so I'd give him to Swamp Thing since Holland fights unearthly freaks and fire kills plants makes him a obvious threat. Heck, DC could even retcon it that Sartorius is a failed Elemental like how Solomon Grundy was suppose to be Plant Elemental but the process was incomplete. 5) Tiger Shark: He's a pirate and scavenger and would work so well as an Aquaman villain. He's even be a good counter to Black Manta since Tiger Shark acts like he's a sly businessman than a lowly bottom feeder whereas Manta is an honorable warrior of the deep. 6) The General: I love how James Tyrion IV rebooted as a child genius the army uses to plan black-Ops like Ender Wiggin but this is too large of scale for Bats. I'd make Ulysses a Wonder Woman villain since naturally she'd be trying to bring peace to countries he's distabalizing on behalf of US interests. There is even a good theme sharing them since both were gifted children trained in war but while Diana learned how ugly it is, Ulysses still sees war as a game. *EDIT:* I added a few more villains.

Dr Phosphorus being a failed elemental is a great idea. He would be a failed fire elemental (I don't remember the name of the fire elemental realm). This could make him a great villian for Firestorm as he's a "successfull" fire elemental and his origin also took place during a nuclear accident. It could be retconned to have been the same one.

Great Video Rogues - although I highly disagree with Anarky and Ras. I feel like Anarky works so well especially because Batman rarely seems to think about his influence on Gothams political system - so that makes for an interesting conflict. With ras I think the thematic links to Bruce are just much to good to give them up. The question about Batmans crusade being to small scale, larger responsibilities and goals, Bruces desire for a family and maybe even legacy. All these thing can get explored wonderfully in Ras stories.

Anarky is also rumored to be the Joker's son, which makes perfect sense, because anarchy is often the brainchild of a clown. The only problem is that Anarky dresses as some kind of Inquisitor/Crusader pastiche, which fits with Batman's "Dark Knight" motif but contradicts that of the Joker, since the Joker is known for being completely non-religious.

I love the idea of Rainbow Creature being a Green Lantern Villain. How about a whole Rainbow Corps featuring Rainbow Creature, Rainbow Raider, Polka-Dot Man, Crazy Quilt, and etc? The set up is they are all on a quest to find all the colored rings, and with them they can control all of reality! The problem is they hate each other and it is a war on Earth to be the only Rainbow Lantern.

I absolutely disagree with the Ras Al Ghul part , he is my favorite Batman villain of all time apart from Two-Face he adds the element of the supernatural and I like that. My issue is how the League of Assassins are depicted IMO. To me if I where to do the League it would be VERY different and give Ras the weight of being a actual threat in what he is trying to accomplish, yes the environmentalism stuff was always bizarre but for me I personally like it when he is more of a threat in that sense and serving almost like another surrogate father for Bruce besides Alfred. Also again its nice to see a Middle Eastern character that isn't has stereotypical then they are portrayed at times. To me the best way to portay the League wasn't Batman films in Nolan films it was actually IMO John Wick films. You know a actual SECRET society not just ninjas etc, but a group of killers with diverse backgrounds in what they are capable of doing like the John Wick films.

Thoughts: Rainbow Creature: completely agree! Good call on making it a Green Lantern villain Orca: Haha it’s funny you were just joking about her being a Plastic Man villain, because that’s exactly what I was thinking. Plastic Man oddly has a lot of animal-themed rogues. But she’d definitely fill out a spot in Aquaman’s rogues gallery better. I’m pretty sure King Shark was a villain of Aquaman at some point, as well as other sea creature-themed villains like Eel and Siren. Calendar Man - eh, not really sure there’s much of a connection between Green Arrow and Calendar Man, unlike with Rainbow Creature and Green Lantern and Orca and Aquaman. I think it would be best to give Green Arrow Clock King back and let Batman keep Calendar Man. No sense having two time-themed villains in one rogues gallery Anarky - Half-agree. I think maybe he’d do better as a Nightwing villain, along with Black Spider and Blockbuster. I disagree with your reasoning though. Although it’s true there are no overtly political messages in Batman, there are some implied messages about government corruption (especially through the GCPD and organized crime in Gotham City). We always get to see Batman take down criminals to turn over to the system, but we never see him do anything to undermine the system (even when it’s wrong). And it’s not like Bruce is ignorant of corruption in the Justice system, it’s just his own personal morality won’t let him do anything too far outside of the law (except for vigilantism). Rather than punish or kill the criminals himself, he turns them over to the cops, attorneys, and judges who may or may not do it for him. However, Anarky wants to directly take down the system. Unlike Batman, who only bends the law in ways that the cops find acceptable (as demonstrated by the fact they have a light signal to summon him), Anarky actually does things to overthrow the whole corrupt system and inspire “real change.” This could force Batman to ask the question of what he really stands for when his first response to someone actually changing the status quo for once is to defeat him. Ra’s al Ghul - I agree the supernatural elements make him seem out of place in an otherwise very grounded rogues gallery, but I don’t know where else he’d go. I don’t think he’d fit in anyone else’s rogues gallery, mainly due to the connection he has with Bruce Wayne. Even if Ra’s didn’t train Bruce, there’s still an ideological connection that the two have. They both want to same exact thing: World Peace. No war, starvation, disease, corruption, crime. However, Ra’s is a Utilitarian and is willing to do anything to achieve this end. Maybe instead of Batman seeking Ra’s out first by traveling to Arabia, assassins come to Gotham with a mission from the League of Shadows to assassinate a corrupt political figure in the city. They get assassinated, Batman does an investigation, finds the assassins before they can flee, and then through this chain of events, is led to finding out about the organization, its leader and members, which countries it operates in, etc. and then all that information leads him to Ra’s al Ghul. The stuff about the Lazarus Pit and immortality can even be dropped and it still maintains Ra’s’s character

@Anthony Fallone Anarky would be a really cool villain for Bludhaven. Not sure why Ra's supernatural abilities and league of assassins make him feel out of place for some people with villains like Scarecrow, Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy. I know they're techincally sci-fi, but Ivy especially is far-fetched and not at all grounded. Plus she can communicate with the Green like Swamp Thing, a supernatural entity of plant life in DC universe. And I like your points about Ra's, often it's their ideaolgies that clash, such as the corruption of Gotham and how to handle it.
@anthonyfallone9097
@anthonyfallone9097 2 жыл бұрын
@@KGDavis-fi2tq Well it depends on which version of Ivy. I prefer Ivy as an eco-terrorist that extracts poison from plants to use on others, rather than a meta-human with green skin and the ability to control plants. Scarecrow I actually think is one of the more realistic, grounded rogues. He’s essentially a chemist that uses a psychedelic, hallucinogenic drug to weaken others. Mr. Freeze is also fairly grounded depending on which version of him you’re talking about. They make air-conditioned suits for people with heat intolerance and cryogenics is already a field in science. Even the most outlandish part of Freeze, his freeze gun, can easily be a laser cooling device like the ones that use liquid hydrogen/nitrogen and chlorofluorocarbons. I think a better example of a Batman villain that is more unrealistic would be Clayface, who I personally thought was always the odd one out of the bunch. Like you have mostly gangsters, murderers, thieves, etc. with no powers except for their own strength or weapons, and then there’s a guy who can shapeshift and even detach pieces of himself. He doesn’t even seem to have a skeletal structure. This is why I prefer Basil most when either he was just a deranged actor or he is a guy who can just mold his face to resemble other people (like in Gotham)
@KGDavis-fi2tq
@KGDavis-fi2tq 2 жыл бұрын
@@anthonyfallone9097 Interesting, that's why I like Clayface and Ivy for shaking things up ha ha. I suppose it's what happens when a character is over 75 years old and many interpretations. Just like some prefer Penguin to be a more light-hearted thief than the serious crime boss he tends to be nowadays. That's what I love about Batman, even his villains have varied and compelling histories.

I really like the idea of Green Arrow vs. Anarky, especially as someone who’s deep into online politics. The Neolib Boomer Hippie vs. the Terminally-Online Leftist Zoomer is basically the status quo of Twitter any given day, so why not tap into that for some satire for GA? It could be really cool seeing Ollie get out smugged by Lonnie. Maybe Anarky really appeals to the young people of Star City, and they start to see Green Arrow as the defender of the establishment. That would really throw Oliver through a loop.

neolib? ollie is very obviously a classic lib. he hates the government and probably war. Ben Shapiro is a neolib (at least when it comes to the government of israel). Ollie's politics are too entrenched in the 70s to get too specific but playing up his age suddenly conflicting with some vague kind of "modern left" might be fun. But for that to happen we would need the continuity of him being in his late 40s or whatever (In longbow hunters he turned 45 I think?) and they just got rid of the continuity.

PI cares about plants, SM about people and animals; PI wants to protect the enviroment and get rid of humanity, Superman wants humans to not destroy themselves and the planet like kryptonians did. As for Batman not being political, that's not actually true since most of his stories are about a billionaire who fight crime and tries to protect his corrupt city from costume villains who, in some cases like Mr Freeze and Clayface (in the animated series at least), became what they are due to the action of corrupt rich guys who choose to use their resources for selfish gains rather than helping people like Bruce does with his money and abilites. There are many stories that show Batman that touch very social and political topics, specially in the Alan Grant's run (where Anarky made his debut).

You're absolutely right about Ras! He's too much of a James Bond villain, too exotic, global for the gritty Batman, focusedon just one city. Youmay hate The Court of Owls, too, but they are an upgrade over whatever it is that Al Ghul is supposed to represent, a master manipulator, and far more mysterious, frightening. If Bruce Wayne were evil, he'd Belong in the Court, but instead he fights their kind. Al Ghul just lives in an environment that Batman does not, so I feel no connection.

@@zemox2534 The point of Al Ghul by his creator was to give Batman a Moriarty, but while he may not be a bad villain, he is abad Btman villain because he simply does not fit the overall Bat mythos. Joker may be overrated too, but he fits the world of Gotham like a glove, and Al Ghul basically takes Batman out of his normal environment. On the one hand, this may feel refreshing, but if a rogue pulls you out of the core gritty. urban themes to function, this guts the psychological realism making Bats ccompelling. What repressed trait of Batman does Al Ghul represent, like the chaotic Joker? How is he Batman reacting to trauma and making wrong choices? That's Two-Face and Mr. Freeze, even the Riddler, making crimes instead of solving them, but Ras Al Ghul's background is too different to start with to represent that, and that is my issue. All of Batman's other rogues belong in Gotham, but Al Ghul does not, and while you can give Batman a Moriarty, you need a Moriarty that's fully Gotham-ized. Al Ghul ain't.
@Noitartst

@Rob Mohamedally Diversity by itself is absurd, sans thematic coherence, and that is the issue with AL Ghul; the image of Arkham Asylum is so strong because it is a metaphor for so much, and AL Ghul cannot relate to Arkham Asylum in any meaningful psychological way. If you can find poetic, symbolic meaning in this, lemme know, because I cannot. Al Ghul simply takes us away from Batman's core themes to work, and thus, he's detour.

@@Noitartst Look it is nice to change things up a bit. I prefer a Al ghul story more than another fucking Joker story. That is the issue with fan like you. You don't like change. You want things to stay the same well tough shit. Things have to change. It is necessary. And Al ghul is similar to Bruce actually. He watched his loved one die in front of his eyes just like Bruce watched his parents die in front of his eyes. Also Batman is not fucking realistic! He us a rich Asshole who dress up like a bat and fights giant shape shifting mud monsters and killer clowns. If you want "realism" good outside! Al ghul gets loads of shit and it is undeserved. You brought some good points Mr Rogues, however I believe some of this characters can work as Batman villains with the right execution. The Rainbow creature, for exemple, they could change it's origin to be more like a frankenstein monster story, with the rainbow creature being a result of a experiment gone wrong. After escaping it's creator the creature could look like a threat for many but in reality it's just trying to find peace and it's the way people react and attack the creature that end up causing it to become a villain. As for Orca, they could keep her story the same but follow the direction of the Injustice comic, having Orca meeting and falling in love for Killer Croc, as the two can relate with each other since they are both monster who don't fit in the human world nor the animal world. The two could become a counterpoint to Joker and Harley: A couple who loves each other and work together to survive and challenge Batman.

Baron's 5 Batman Villains Who Shouldn't be Batman Villains: 5. Deathstroke Gonna be honest here, I'm just sick of seeing Deathstroke as one of Batman's go-to "I'm your equal in battle" villain. There are plenty of choices sitting there not being used like Wrath and Owlman. Deathstroke wasn't even a Batman villain originally yet he keeps showing up prominently in Batman media. He's a Titans foe. Nightwing and Beast Boy are the ones he has lots of history and character dynamics with. Go be their villain! 4: Colonel Blimp Yeah, really going for the big leaguers, aren't I? Thing is, despite his joke status, Colonel Blimp has the potential to be a big threat. Hoards of minions and giant mobile base equipped for battle? The bloke's on the level of some Bond villains. Should at least be a blip on the American government's radar that there's a guy with effectively a private army onboard a flying warship out there. Moving him to somewhere other than Gotham would be easy as well. As for who to pit him up against, I'd say Hawkman and/or Hawkgirl. As you said, Hawkman is really in need of more villains (well, what he actually needs in some stability in his storytelling, but semantics) and looking through what villains he has, there are not as many flight based ones as you would expect. 3. Ratcatcher The Ratcatcher's whole deal is that he loves rats over people. Wants them to rule and all that. My issue is that's kind of Poison Ivy's deal. Just swap out rats for plants. He works just fine in a street city setting. It's really more a case of story potential. Why not give some of that to other heroes? As for what hero, it could be just about any street level villains. Personally I would give him to someone like Animal Man or Vixen. Again, animal heroes, surprisingly few animal based villains. Also, neat parallel with them being friends to animals in tune with nature as opposed to Ratcatcher who claims to be a friend to rats when he's actually controlling them through his powers. 2. Doctor Double X A scientist who spawns an evil energy based doppelganger of himself. Fun. But a little bit out there for Batman's rogues gallery? I certainly think so. Besides, he's got Two-Face and Scarface for his multiple personality based villains already. And what's great about Doctor Double X is he effectively already has the perfect hero picked out for him thanks to the Brave and the Bold cartoon: Firestorm. Two guys who fuse together to form a hero. One guy who splits apart to form two villains. 1. Cluemaster I've said it before. But it just makes sense to me. Batman has Riddler. If Cluemaster is too much like Riddler then let him be a Green Arrow villain. The two share so many villains at this point already, it wouldn't even be that hard to justify it. I will grant you that Cluemaster does have a tie to the Bat Family. What with his daughter being Spoiler/Robin 4/ Batgirl 3. But she's broken out on her own as a distinct separate character. No need to keep them both in Gotham. Cluemaster could easily branch out to Star City. Even if it's just temporary.

Not bad choices, though I have some notes. Deathstroke I 100% agree with. I will also say that something important is thematically lost with Batman vs. Deathstroke: Age. Part of the appeal, for me, of his rivalry with the Titans is old versus young. Less experience versus most experienced. Teenagers/twenty-somethings versus a sixty/seventy-something. But with Batman it’s a slightly-younger-than-middle-aged guy versus an old guy. There isn’t as much thematically going on. Really their only connection point usually is that they’re both good fighters, and there’re actually a lot of those fighting Batman already. That was supposed to be a short note. Oh, well, moving on. Dr. Double-X I sort of agree on, but not quite, because Firestorm already has Multiplex. In fact, in that episode, they just switched the two. Danton Black/Multiplex is a science guy who knew Martin Stein but had criminal ambitions and caused a nuclear accident that fused Stein and Ronnie Raymond to become Firestorm, and gave him the power to create clones of himself. Quite similar to that episode’s version Doc Double-X. Now obviously you could change it so that X has nothing to do with the origin, but no matter what you do I feel like the two villains will always be a bit too similar. Multiplex can replicate himself, and so can X, it’s just that Multiplex is more powerful. I feel like you’d end up with a Riddler-Cluemaster situation (yes, X came first, but Multiplex has had far more development and is basically Firestorm’s nemesis now that Killer Frost is a hero, so it’d feel wrong to me if X became more prominent). Still, I think Double-X could be a great Firestorm villain, and that’s who he should fight if not Batman. Colonel Blimp I would give to the British Dynamic Duo, Knight & Squire. After all, the name Colonel Blimp came from an English comic strip, and he feels perfect for their wacky rogues like Springheeled Jack, Old King Coal, the Morris Men, Death Dinosaur, Jarvis Poker, Mad Hat Harry, The Metaleks, Organ Grinder (his theme is music, not what you’re probably thinking), and The Orphan. You probably haven’t heard of any of these, I now realize. Anyway, if the threat level is a problem, maybe he could be a Batman Incorporated/Club Of Heroes/Batmen Of All Nations, so he could still be tangentially connected to Batman, but he could fighter a larger cast of more colorful characters. I don’t know about Hawkman & Hawkwoman, ironically, I don’t think he’d be a big enough threat because they could mace down his blimp given they can actually fly, whereas normal humans with gadgets have to use their wits more. There’s probably a different Batman villain that the Hawks could use, but I can’t think of one right now. Cluemaster… sure, that could work, but people already say Ollie’s a Batman ripoff, so him fighting a Riddler ripoff probably wouldn’t help. And there’s already several GA villains that don’t get the spotlight, like Clock King, Brick, Cupid, Onomatopoeia (he’s one who really shouldn’t fight Batman, if you ask me), Constantine Drakon… yeah, okay, most of ‘em need more spotlight. Really, it’s just Dark Archer, Count Vertigo, and Shado who’ve gotten a ton of GL spotlight. Ratcatcher I really like, but if you gave him to someone else I wouldn’t mind too much. B’wana Beast could be another interesting one. I’d say either him or Animal Man. Vixen at least has Mustapha Maksai and some smaller villains, but the other two? None I can really think of. Animal Man had Mod Gorilla Boss, but he appeared once, and most of the villains he fought in the Grant Morrison run were other heroes’ villains or didn’t return. B’wana Beast I can’t think of any villains he has. Solid picks, even though I have some small disagreements that I somehow managed to extend to the length of a college essay.

Ra's al ghul, as i already said, as much as he would make a perfect bond villain, and i completely agree, that his encounters with batman have deffinetly no batman vibes, there is something intriguing between those two, that i love about. And i also love how ra's calls batman 'detective' all the time. Orca same as aquaman are not even worth mentioning, and the anarchy/green arrow idea was great. Mr. Rogues I'm from Glasgow, Scotland I am a Life Long Batman Fan and I am a big fan of your KZfaq Channel 1.) THE RAINBOW CREATURE: who the hell even is that? but I think Putting Rainbow Creature as a Green Lantern Character would be amazing and it would make total sense, he could be the living embodiment of The Emotional Spectrum: Red Lanterns (Rage), Orange Lanterns (Avarice/Greed), Sinestro Corps/Yellow Lanterns (Fear), Green Lanterns (Will), Blue Lanterns (Hope), Indigo Tribe (Compassion), Sapphire Corps (Love), Black Lanterns (Death) & White Lanterns (Life) and I feel like I need to say this I have always wanted to see a Grey Lantern Corps and a Brown Lantern Corps 2.) RED CLAW: I'd make her a Wonder Woman villain since Red Claw is also a hardened warrior but without Diana's kindness (plus I would base her off of Swedish Actress Lena Olin) . 3.) SIGNAL MAN: Electrical communication is such a necessity these days that Signal Man should be a key support villain that is always working with other bad guys. I'd make him a Flash villain since Central City's supervillains are more united than Gotham's (and I would Signalman a Member of The Rogues) 4.) KING TUT: He's pretty much just Maxie Zeus and Batman doesn't need two of them. I'd give King Tut to HawkMan. Both are archeologists fascinated with ancient Egypt and Tut could be tied to Carter's pharaoh past as another reincarnate but one stuck in the past. Tut could even be a big threat using Thanagarian weapons. he may have debuted in The 1966 Classic Batman TV Show, but I think he would be better suited as a Hawkman Villain 5.) DR. PHOSPHORUS: The man is a flaming skeleton that kills everyone he comes across. He seems too "monster" for Bats so I'd give him to Swamp Thing since Holland fights unearthly freaks and fire kills plants makes him a obvious threat. Heck, DC could even retcon it that Sartorius is a failed Elemental like how Solomon Grundy was suppose to be Plant Elemental but the process was incomplete. 6) TIGER SHARK: He's a pirate and scavenger and would work so well as an Aquaman villain. He's even be a good counter to Black Manta since Tiger Shark acts like he's a sly businessman than a lowly bottom feeder whereas Manta is an honourable warrior of the deep. Aquaman's Villains are: (Black Manta , Ocean Master, King Shark, Fisherman, Scavenger, The Trench, Creature King, Kordax, Aquabeast, Charybdis, The Dead King & Siren) 7) THE GENERAL (NOT GENERAL WADE ELLING NOT TO BE CONFUSED): I love how James Tyrion IV rebooted as a child genius the army uses to plan black-Ops like Ender Wiggin but this is too large of scale for Bats. I'd make Ulysses both a Superman and Wonder Woman villain since naturally they'd both be trying to bring peace to countries he's distabalizing on behalf of US interests. There is even a good theme sharing them since they all were gifted children but Ulysses was exploited by awful people who taught him to use his gifts for evil 8.) ORCA: I feel like Orca should be both a Nightwing and an Aquaman Villain. Give Orca to Nightwing and she'd fit in; Nightwing's Rogues Gallery are: (Roland Desmond/Blockbuster II, Lady Vic, Brutale, The Court of Owls, Mister Fun, Torque, Deathstroke, Saiko, Deathwing, Tad Ryerstad/Nite-Wing, Tony Zucco Raptor & Tarantula) plus I would also make Two-Face, KGBeast, Ventriloquist & Scarface Nightwing Villains is well (as well being Batman Villains is well) and Aquaman's Villains are: (Black Manta , Ocean Master, King Shark, Fisherman, Scavenger, The Trench, Creature King, Kordax, Aquabeast, Charybdis, The Dead King & Siren) 9.) ANARKY: I have to agree with you on that one, he's never been that Interesting enough of a Villain when he's fighting Batman, Put Anarky in Green Arrow's Rogues Gallery and he's fit in perfectly. Anarky did turn up on Arrow where he had a Psychotic Obsession with Thea Queen/Speedy (Based on Mia Dearden/Speedy but on Arrow, she's The Younger Half-Sister of Oliver Queen/Green Arrow and The illegitimate daughter of Merlyn; The Dark Archer), Green Arrow is Lefty Liberal and Anarky is an Anarchist. Green Arrow needs some more villains he's got (Merlyn, Count Vertigo, Cupid, China White, Constantine Drakon, Brick, Deathstroke, Onomatopoiea, Richard Dragon/Ricardo Diaz, Star City Slayer, Komodo, Clock King, Prometheus, Kodiak, Red Dart, Dante & The Ninth Circle) I would even have Riddler also be a Green Arrow Villain is well (he can still be a villain to Batman is well) and I would make Three Arrow originated Villains into DC Comic Green Arrow Villains: THE MAYOR: An African-American Gangster who thinks/sees himself as Star City's Mayor. STARDUST: A Drug Manufacture and built like a Bodybuilder who Green Arrow pushed into a Vat of Chemicals that was cooking his own Drugs and he became deformed and zombie like with his own drugs floating in his veins and has a Vengeful hatred towards Green Arrow. (he's kinda like Bane & Solomon Grundy) ADAM HUNT: An Evil Corrupt CEO Billionaire who could be a rival to Queen Industries. (The ''Lex Luthor'' to Green Arrow) 10.) ELECTROCUTIONER: Put him in Nightwing's Rogues Gallery 11.) TALLY MAN: Put him in Nightwing's Rogues Gallery 12.) CORNIELUS STIRK: Put him in Nightwing's Rogues Gallery 13). BABY DOLL: Put her in Nightwing's Rogues Gallery 14). ZEBRA MAN: Animal Man or Vixen 15). LOCK-UP: Put him in Nightwing's Rogues Gallery, I also think he'd make a Good enemy for Wilddog or Vigilante 16).PLANET MASTER: put him in Green Lantern's Rogues Gallery 17). DR. DOUBLE X: Put him in Firestorm''s Rogues Gallery 18). CORROSIVE MAN: Put him in Firestorm''s Rogues Gallery 19). THE CALCULATOR: he's more of a Robin Foe, but I would make him a Green Arrow Villain 20). H.A.R.D.A.C: he'd be a Cool enemy for Cyborg and maybe The Teen Titans 21). POISON IVY: of all the famous Batman Villains, I don't think she's interesting enough, I think she should be a Swamp Thing Villain is well (as being a Batman Villain) 22. CRAZY QUILT: Put him in Robin's Rogues Gallery (he'd be better suited) Calendar Man is an Interesting one, you're right he's never going to become an A-Lister Batman Villain but I think that's because he spend the first few years as a gimmick joke villain and then when The Long Halloween came, they made him a dangerous serial killer and a Hannibal Lector wannabe (but People just haven't got the Gimmicky Calendar Man out of their Head) but I think he should remain in Batman's Rogues Gallery but he would make a good villain for Question. I absolutely disagree with the Ras Al Ghul part , he's one of Batman's best villains of all time he adds the element of the supernatural and I like that. My issue is how the League of Assassins are depicted IMO. To me if I where to do the League it would be VERY different and give Ras the weight of being a actual threat in what he is trying to accomplish, yes the environmentalism stuff was always bizarre but for me I personally like it when he is more of a threat in that sense and serving almost like another surrogate father for Bruce besides Alfred. but The Hawkman case is interesting and they could do a Hawkman-Batman Crossover where They Fight Ra's al Ghul but Ra's al Ghul needs and should stay as a Batman Villain but he would make a Good Villain for James Bond, The Phantom & The Shadow

I like the Rainbow Creature - it is another one of those Kaiju looking villains. However I agree Rainbow Creature is far too colourful for Gotham. I think Rag Doll should be a Batman villain if he isn't already.

With Ra's al Ghul you have the villainy of a criminal mastermind who exists in a scope larger than Gotham. He's inspired by Fu Manchu, with Batman the only one capable of not just figuring out his evil plans but countering them.

I can see Ras as a villain for Hawkman, but only if it's the Golden Age origin of Hawkman. Since they love to flip flop between his golden and silver age origins, it's hard to say which is permanent. What villains from any Rogues gallery do you think would be suitable for the Question?

Red Hood (sort of). I just feel he could also be a villain for Green Arrow. And it's not like Joker always needs an alias before he became what he is, just look at Batman 89/TAS/2004.

the problem is they aren;t doing Batman right... even if he has a representative at the head of his company, if his company is threatened he would respond, and many times it wouldn't be him directly/immediatly unless it was dire, but he'd do it thru Batman Inc. meaning they should have many more stories.

I agree to all of them, except for Ra's Al Ghul and Calendar Man, because we had great Batman comics, storylines, and other media with them. But I do agree on Green Arrow and Aquaman cause they need more villains and they don't have a very big rogue's gallery. Green Arrow - Anarky Aquaman - King Shark, Orca Green Arrow Villains - Malcolm Merlyn, Count Vertigo, Deathstroke, Brick, The Clock King, Constantine Drakon, Cupid, Komodo Aquaman Villains - Black Manta, Ocean Master, Siren, The Dead King, The Thirst, Charybdis, Fisherman, Kordax

You’re wrong about Ra’s. Completely wrong. Dennis O’Neal intentionally created him to not fit in with the rest of Batman’s Villains. The majority of Bruce’s foes are mentally ill people in costumes. Batman Beats them up/captures them and returns them to Arkham/Black Gate. Rise and Repeat. Even TAS commented on this aspect in the episodes Trial and Lock-Up. Ra’s breaks all that down, by forcing Batman out of his comfort zone, away from Gotham. That’s the whole point of his character. It’s like as why does Superman fight a character Mister Mxyzptlk. For the same reason. Sometimes “ outside of the box” villains are exactly what long running Superheroes need to stay interesting.

@Rob Mohamedally exactly. That’s one of the complaints against Superman, and why many readers mistakenly view him as boring; his enemies don’t stand out in the same way that Batman’s do.

I think several of the really strange, cooky and ridiculous Batman villains like Kite Man, The Mime, and Crazy Quilt should go to Plastic Man. I feel they are appropriate for a zany character like Plastic Man. Plus he could use his own rogue’s gallery. I also believe the Cavalier, Lady Shiva (assuming she counts as one), and the Ratcatcher should be enemies to Black Canary. Cause, again, Batman already has enough interesting villains and she’s one of those superheroes who doesn’t have any rogues of her own that anyone knows. Now as for Deadshot, while he started out as a Batman antagonist, he’s kinda moved away from that and has become a general DC universe villain who’s fought several different heroes over the years. But I honestly think he is best suited as a Green Arrow villain. Think about it. Both characters are sharpshooters except one uses arrows and the other uses guns. It’s thematically appropriate. It’s also a good change from the many rival archers Green Arrow has as villains. Instead of having yet another person who’s supposed to be his equal at using a bow and arrow, have someone who’s also a sharpshooter but with a different weapon.

Honestly, the villain that should be a Green Arrow rogue is Captain Boomerang. They don’t ever give us a reason he’s a credible threat to flash other than the fact he’s good with Boomerangs, which doesn’t make sense. He would stand a better chance and probably make more sense as a green arrow villain, seeing as he can not only match Oliver’s archery skills but also even counter him from all different angles and directions without even leaving his cover. Heck unlike Dead Shot, Boomerangs weapons don’t travel in a straight line and can come back to him, so Oliver would not only have trouble waiting for him to run out of ammo but would have to watch his back more than he would with your average gunman.

Possibly Ras could be more fitting as a Wonder Woman villain. She does fight ancient and supernatural beings such as Medusa, Zeus and Minotaurs. An immortal warlord seems less out of place for her than for Batman who primarily deals with deranged freaks that reside in Gotham.

I have a thing of thinking Batman's worst villain is the Wraith because you can tell the idea was to create a parallel image of the guy whose parents were killed by cops but the whole thing was so mediocre and uninteresting that turns hilarious how easily forgotten it was. The best villains are never reflected images but the one who represents something complete different like Luthor, Joker, Loki, Thanos, etc. Villains that are too close to the hero start reading as lack of ideas.

my top 5 Dc villains i think should change rogues gallery would be: 1) Dr polaris should be a Metalic men villain, like i pretty sure some of them are magnetic, so its kinda of a no brainer 2) Atomic skull should be a fire storm villain... do i even need to explain why? 3) Doomsday should be a Lobo villain, like really he lost all the impact he had with sups, maybe going agaist the main man himself Lobo would help him stand out a little more and be more than "The guy who killed Superman that one time" in some continuites it wasn't even him who did it, freaking TOYMAN killed him once is it really that special anymore? 4) Dr. Destiny should be a Teen Titans villains, adults like the justice league are kinda beyond being afraid of nightmares but now a Team of Teens some being as young as 13 now that could be a lot of fun 5) Onomatopeia should be a Question villain, one guy is a mystery the other is a insane detective would be a nice rivalry, imagine Question trying to solve hes identity and why he kills heroes would be a hell of a story
