I did return it and replace the vacuum and it took care of the spinning issue with that said it’s ok for the 20 dollar price point. It’s the cheaper vacs that made me get interested enough to buy the higher end one

How long does it take to charge when you first open it?

On hard floors it works just fine but only has about 70% the cleaning power of the $200/$300 models however these are just a replacement for using a swifter dust mop and not a replacement for a heavy duty vacuum cleaner. It has just a bump car drive though and for the price that is what you should expect. For an introduction to robotic vacuums or to see how pets react its a good test bed. If it just runs in circles then the resistance on the drive rotator is defective so just exchange it. To block off rooms/stairs a bean bag door draft stopper/bean bag works or even an empty cardboard box. FYI: Read the disclosure on the box and the owners booklet first, its pretty clearly a hard surface cleaner and not a carpet vacuum. I did that in the store before heading for the checkout and there were no surprises. Worked similar to the 1960's spring and battery powered children's toys the drive system was derived from which was exactly what I was expecting with the surprise that it appears to have a little bit of logic to change the pattern if it finds itself repeating the same exact sequence too many times. Takes about 2.5 hours to charge and runs almost 40 minutes however the unit is so simple and spacious inside that for a few dollars you could upgrade the battery to one that has twice the capacity if you know what your doing. Best!

After 4 months of daily use the fan motor died. The copper literally wore off the commutator where the motor brushes make contact with it. Somewhat considering though just dropping the $3 on a newer motor however all I know is that its a 4 volt 3 pole DC motor but there are no specifications about the no load speed, current draw, etc so its going to be a best guess unless 5 Below's support folks can provide me with that information. Hat the thought of throwing all that plastic along with the battery and three other motors away. Best!

Awesome video! I remember the first time I went into our Five Below store for the first time (a few months ago) and saw this and thought "no way I just saw what I think I saw lol" I currently have a Roomba i7+ and have made a pretty lengthy review of it and its subscription from iRobot. I was thinking about this thing and thought "oooh, what if I were to pay the 20 bucks and do a comparison video of the cheapest robot vacuum you can get VS a more expensive one?" Now, keep in mind the iRobot subscription is literally $29.00 per month, and it's absolutely worth it, so I guess we will see how these compare when I got my Roomba I didn't have to pay an activation to start service, and I many other won't either because they are always running deals to promote their subscription service. So for me, tax included this was $0.95 more expensive than my Roomba when I started! LOL, anyways thanks for the video man. I'm kinda really looking forward to this now!

I love 5 Below and most of the items I have in my home came from 5 Below. I saw this on the website and was curious to see how well it worked and held up. I already have a Roomba but wouldn’t mind adding another robot vacuum cleaner to my household. Thank you for reviewing this product!

Only issue is it can really climb carpet that well but I have a anker robot so I use this one for the bathroom and close the door
