I'd add Sunset Station and Main Street on this list. By the way, best way to enjoy Palms Buffet is to pay for breakfast ($11.99) at around 10:30am, then continue grinding with lunch menu that starts at 11:00am (there's no gap in between, and they don't mind)//

Yeah I’m a recently retired trucker. I used to eat at the Silverton a lot especially good was their Polynesian night with the whole roasted suckling pig. The orleans was super good years ago when dinner was $13.99 with lots of seafood. Then a few years ago when I ate there it was like school cafeteria food. Yuk! Glad it’s gotten better.

If you have young children, you really can’t beat Sam’s Town for a visit. The food is consistently good and the kiddos will love the waterfall area with the animatronics.

I liked the South Point when I stayed there in '07. Nice staff, rooms, good prices, lots of gaming, a bit away from the hustle & bustle of the strip which is part of its appeal. Also several restaurants with decent food & prices.

my first 3 stays were at South Coast/South Point, when they had free airport/strip shuttles back in '06/07, great hotel, but it's 6 miles south of the strip. i stay at the cheap, clean and quiet places now. resort fees are for the birds, unless you're rich!

I have made over 60 trips to Las Vegas and I go to 2-3 buffets each trip. Bellagio is always top quality food. Pay for lunch before 3:00, stay for dinner on weekdays $28. Still expensive but not outrageous. Planet Hollywood downsized their buffet after a flood last year. Selection is limited but quality is way up and the price is great compared to others on the strip, especially on weekends. Check Groupon for a discount including Beer and Wine. M took a dive a few years ago, but it is fabulous once again. My number one pick. I highly recommend it. Cheap and not crowded on weekdays. Fabulous selection and the "Best Deserts in Vegas". Beer and Wine included. Pay for lunch until 2:30, stay for dinner. Red Rock has been the best $15 buffet for years, good place to go on a weekend when everything else is $40+. Food at the new Orleans buffet looked good in December 2017, and was well cooked, but everything was bland and boring. Hopefully they will figure it out soon. Palms was just OK a couple of years ago, but sounds interesting now that they have new owners, new facility and $18 Sunday Brunch and dinner. I'll try it in a couple of weeks.

Had been going to lad vegas for years and have stayed at practically EVERY hotel. But this comment concerns the Buffets. Price was not important, but what was more important to me, and guests, was my favorite ! ..GOLD COAST BUFFET !! I once drove all the way from California to have lunch and dinner there..and then drove BACK to Los Angeles !! Even when I stayed at other hotels in Vegas, I always ate at the Gold COAST BUFFET. 4 STARS !!!

When I lived in Vegas, my haunts for cheap buffet eats were the Texas Station, the Cannery (both o them), the Gold Coast (they still comp me for my birthday), the Fremont downtown, the Main Street Station downtown and Arizona Charlie's on Decatur. ON the strip, the only two I messed with are the Paris and the Bellagio. Also around the Valley are great Asian Buffets, but my favorite one I learned has closed, but there are definitely quality ones all over.

Go to Green Valley Ranch Casino about 20 minutes from the strip, right off the highway. The buffet is cheap and the food is great. The dessert section even has a cold stone ice cream section, and the casino itself is gorgeous. Also their pool area is large and luxurious. Be sure to check it out.

Love the quality/price ratio at the Gold Coast. No one should expect very high end items at an inexpensive buffet. Also, I know they aren't as prevalent as they used to be, but how about rating the best late night/midnight food specials?

Agree with you, eaten at South Point many times, always amazed that the price is great for the food (used to get breakfast w/players card for $4.99 back when it was first South Coast). Haven't tried the others in quite a while, esp. the new Palms one. Staying at Sam's Town on Boulder Strip next trip in Oct. Had their buffet a few years ago, cheap and decent lunch from what I remember. Thanks !

After what you spend on air fare and hotel rooms/fees, you'll need to know where the cheap places are!

I stay at South Point a lot. And for a lower-end buffet, theirs is pretty good. Plenty to choose from. All pretty much an average buffet. Nothing fancy. But prime rib and seafood night is REALLY good. There is better seafood out there, but if you’re in s budget and don’t want to spend A TON at the other buffets in town, South Point’s buffet is just fine.

Try the Palace Station Casino on W.Sahara. That is were we eat when in town. Were are only there for the day or two.

Sunset station buffet is good as well when I was visiting

AYCE Buffet at Palms Yesterday. Featured mostly cold dishes not much hot foods. Lunch .The Tuna Poke balls were fresh and seasoned well. Their meat carving station was mostly dry turkey, dry Tri tip and real dry pork loin. If you enjoy salads they have a large number of fresh salads. They really shine in the smoked BBQ area. Seasoned slow smoked pulled pork, slow smoked turkey legs. Lunch was so so but remember at AYCE you may stay for dinner if you gain entry two hours before 4:00pm. Dinner was similar but they added small shimp cocktail, slow smoked Ribs, blackened fish, and a juicy amazing slow smoked brisket. Also a nice mini cippino with mussells, clams, shrimp. Finally a good French onion soup with broiled bread cheese top. Desserts were chocolate layer mousse was ok, and a very good coffee cream mousse. Overall it's a good deal if you plan accordingly and arrive to get two meals. I might not come here for only 1 meal. Not enough hot foods, no prime rib, small amount of seafood.

Had the Orleans Sunday Brunch a few weeks ago and it was pretty darn good. I particularily enjoyed the New York steak and the fried rice. Probably the best fried rice I've ever had at a buffet, including Chinese buffets.

I had driven Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica, a trip that took 2 months to complete so by the time I was headed back home, I was exhausted and missed my pets. New subbie here. You have a nice channel. I have been to Vegas probably 20-40 times and it holds a special place in my heart. While the vegas buffet is a must-do for any first time visitor, I can no longer eat my money's worth at a buffet without feeling sick to my stomach LOL. I have tried many buffets in Vegas at different price points over the years. Some other non-buffet recommendations I have for food on the strip and off the strip are: Tacos El Gordo, Gelatology, Ko-Mex, Secret Pizza, and Lotus of Siam. These are all 5 stars for me.

AYCE by far is the best value and service. They have re done everything inside the casino and the theater is excellent. Can’t wait for the new club opening . Should be ready by April 1st

I’ve personally been to the Garden Market at South Pointe as our timeshare is right beside it at the Grandview Las Vegas. The food is good with some great selections for all 3 sittings and the prices are reasonable.

After our 1st couple trips to LV some 10+ yrs ago, we've always rented a car and now we drive all over. We eat Off-Strip all the time. Orleans, Palace Station, South Point, Sam's Town, Gold Coast and even Red Rock has the same "Feast Buffet" as the other Station Casinos just $1 more than the other places. We figure what we save on the Buffets for the week almost pays for the car.

The Fremont buffet and south point are two of my favorites. I used to love red rock but the food isn't what it used to be.

Definitely choose southpoint over silverton in that. On strip for the price harrahs with Groupon. On the west side of town Red Rock

Have eaten at Gold Coast and South Points buffets and he is right about the price. You have to get the sushi as soon as they put it out. The fresher the better. Their meats are wonderful, salads and desserts are hit and miss with selections plus add on toppings for them. All have a fair selection for drinks. One big thing is and not mentioned if it doesn't look good to ask if you can have some fresher if possible.

Well, sir, since you asked: In my experiences The Orleans' buffet has always eclipsed the Gold Coast by a considerable margin. Even taking into account the prices relative to each other, I now avoid the Gold Coast.

Great video. But, it's been my experience that the cheaper buffets in Vegas are mostly tasteless. Kind of weird, because the food looks great. I ate at the south point and Sam's town casinos last time I was there, and they tasted exactly the same. I think golden corral buffet is way better; believe it or not. Kind of sad actually. Main Street Station! I've been to Silverton and it's good, but I'll try the Gold Coast.

I have enjoyed all these buffets. Last month went to the Palms which was wonderful and agree with being your #1 choice. I also like that the buffets have more vegetarian and vegan options these days as I don't eat meat or dairy.

My family always stops at Jerry's nugget when we come to town. Their breakfast lunch and dinner options are delicious and good prices. I get their 3lb prime rib steak dinner for around $48.

Need to replace Gold Coast with M resorts studio buffet. Beer and wine included just $17.99 for lunch too. Amazing desserts! At $24.99 during the week for dinner it’s a steal for what you get! Feels like a fancy buffet (Wynn, wicked spoon, bacchanal) but it’s half the price and includes alcohol

Main Street Station is one of my go to cheap eats. Also neat is that if you play 4 hours of poker at Bally's you get a free buffet at paris any time.

This was a very good review. It even pulled me away from watching Sharknado 2: The Second One. 😱😱 I think I've eaten at two buffets in Vegas: Silver Sevens and Samstown. Both were just so-so food wise but Silver Sevens needed a refurbishment as the place was too dark. The lunch price for Samstown was $7.99 with card and $10.99 without. This was back in 2016 so the prices may have increased.

Silverton buffet yep pretty good. Orleans- For breakfast-I like it. South Point buffet Sunday -Thurs- prime rib nite. Gold Coast buffet with a players card- a lot of older locals go here! AYCE buffet at the Palms. Great Reviews!!
