Hello guys, I am Eileen, thank you so much for joining me! I am a Hermes lover, if you've watched my videos before, you'd know I especially enjoy their rose gold fine jewellery collection and of course, HANDBAGS! Personally, I think Hermes is the king in making leather handbags. However, certain Hermes bags are well known for being hard to get, including the very famous Birkin, Kelly and Constance. So today, I want to talk about how to pick your first Hermes handbag. These are bags which are more available in the stores. So if are not interested in building a purchase history (many people call it the Birkin bait), and you simply want to enjoy their leather craftsmanship, this video is for you :-)

I agree with you on the overall list! Although the Picotin being trendy is a bit harder to get imo. Also the Lindy I never understood it is so not for me 😂 to me it looks dated and so expensive. The Garden Party is so pretty and underrated! It would be perfect in a 33cm size! The 30 is so small and 36 so big :( know that there is also a size Voyage which is size 49! But never heard any reviews about it. The Bolide I really like the shape. I just find it so expensive... I also loooove the mini Bolide. Such a timeless shape. Finally Roulis looks really nice as well!

Regarding the pockets on the Roulis and it not having on the Constance. It’s true the recent Constance bags have no pockets, but the vintage ones used to have pockets. I’m not sure why Hermes removed the pockets for the new Constance regular leather Constance bags. As far as I know, even new and recent exotic Constance bags have pockets, like the Ostrich, Lizard, alligator, and croc. Even if they’re new and current, they have pockets. Only the new and current regular leather Constance does not have pockets. It’s kinda annoying because it’s more expensive compared to the older Constance bags but they removed the pockets and only retained it for exotic leather Constance bags

@@ColourfulNoir Ha, it will be prob more than 5 yrs before I can buy one. Need to make some financial goals first, and then I'm going to get the Chanel 2.55 reissue as my reward. Hermes will be further down the line, but love seeing your beautiful collection in the meantime!

A couple of years ago my husband surprised me with the Tan Lindy 30 for Valentine’s Day. I was shocked because it wasn’t on my radar and my husband went to the store and picked it out all by himself. My husband isn’t into anything designer at all. After the initial shocked wore off I discovered I love the bag.

Welcome to my KZfaq family! I've heard the herbag is a bit tricky to use because the opening is not the easiest to open and close. Personally I'm not too keen about paying a premium for a canvas handbag too so I don't think I'll recommend it xx

Really like the bolide. It's truly an underestimated bag. I once watched a documentary from the 1990s and Christy Turlington was wandering around Paris with her fellow models friends. She was holding the bolide and I just felt a "wow" moment 😉

I have the Lindy 30 in a green similar to yours. Since I wear a lot of tan, brown, and olive, I find that it works with virtually anything.

Hi I think toolbox is a very unique bag! I am just not too sure when it's being carried as a shoulder bag because the strap looks a bit short. I would prefer the bag to sit a bit lower seeing the bag is a bit boxy :-) xx

I would consider that Lindy a neutral. It looks heavy though FYI a lot of companies sell canvas bags for very high price points

Colourful Noir the handles are the perfect drop for over my shoulder, even with a winter coat. I got the cuivre/deep blue combination which suits my wardrobe. An LV Odeon GM organiser from Zoomoni helps keep its shape and makes it quick to flip the bag. I wouldn’t say it’s my favourite looking bag, but it’s my most user friendly bag and looks so classy.💕

Colourful Noir yes I have the tadelakt Constance 24 but I prefer my mini evercolor roulis. Lighter, smaller, buckle free, n less prone to scratches. 👍🏼❤️

The Garden Party looks like a terrific bag to me; very understated, which is definitely my vibe. By the way.....I noticed that you are vast approaching 10k subscribers; do you have any plans to celebrate with a purchase? I know how carefully you consider before you pull the trigger so to speak, so I was wondering if this is something you would celebrate with a small reward or just toast yourself for your good fortune with a glass of something?

Colourful Noir I really look up to you money wise and am so glad that you didn't choose forrewarding yourself with spending money. There is nothing wrong with spending money but there are so many people who come up with excuses for spending habits. If you like it and have the money for it, buy it. If it's not a necessity, wanting the item should be enough reason to buy. Buying something after reaching a goal feels nice. Shopping away feelings is very effective too. But so many people trick themself into thinking that they deserve something just because they want something

I don't know if anyone will agree with me but under Karl Lagerfeld Chanel became less elegant. His output was legendarily phenomenal, and in the process he exploited and plundered Coco Chanel's tropes to such an extent that they have become visual cliches now, and, dare I say it, a trifle vulgar. I love Coco's original designs - she had great taste. What would she make of all those giant crossed C's over everything? This is tourist Chanel at its worst. The price increases display a cynical arrogance that is truly breathtaking. Why do they ignore the complaints of their customers? The only way to ensure that Chanel remains at the highest level of taste and elegance is to go back to the drawing board and refine their bag designs, and regain some integrity in their pricing.
