Hard to believe you have Sennheisers dead last in sound quality behind Apple AirPod Pros, and Jabras. No other reviewer states this. Most have Bose and Sony Below Sennheisers as well. Most, but not all. Also, nearly all have Apple call quality & noise cancellation ranked much higher. Pretty detailed review tho, just unexpected, as I love most of your views. Still a fan.

Agree! This guy clearly has a Sony bias as he’s just talked up the XM4’s as well which sound like crap compared to the Momentum 3’s. Sennheiser blasts the others out of the water when EQ’d.

I actually like the physical buttons on the jabras. Live in cold conditions with the frequent use of snow caps and gloves.

Just bought the jabras t85, I've been using the senheiser momentum 1 for almost 2 years. As for sound quality the jabras 85t are hot garbage. I love the size of jabra and buttons but I rank sound quality above size and buttons. I can't believe he put 5th on the list 😳. I'm an active musician for over 20 years, the senheisers, base and Sony are the best sounding. The only issue I had with the sonys 1000xm3 was the volume. The senheiser provide more volume and more power without getting distorted. Jabra for comfort, Sony for all around just don't like the look of old school Bluetooths, senheiser fit perfect, sound the best and now are $249.

Unbelievable rating of sound quality for the sennheiser momentum 2 .. Can i guess.. did you test for all 🎧 on iphone with aac codek? That could be the right reason because aptx improving the overall "color of sound stage" 👀 😑

@@4RMS7TRONG it's a subjective opinion but I mean, they definitely sound better than jabra or 🍏 airpods and they certainly shouldn't be in fifth place in terms of sound quality also aptx codec are not in there just for FUN.. I have seen a lot of comparisons and reviews regarding Sennheiser momentum 2 and every single reviewer placed them in the first 🥇 or second 🥈 place in terms of the sound quality

Master & Dynamic MW07 Plus? Clean audiophile sound quality. Bluetooth 5.0. 10 hour battery life on the buds with 40 hours in the case. IPX5 water resistance. Great call quality. All around they are amazing.

I love the Sonys but the biggest flaw is that they do not stay in your ear. The sehnheisers have second best sound after the sonys. Lastly, I found the quiet comforts horrible probably the best noise cancelling earbuds but horrible sound and the 75ts are better than the 85ts. My top 5 are: 1. Sehnheisers 2. Airpods Pro (if you are in the apple ecosystem like I am) 3. Sonys 4. 75ts 5. 85ts

Just a heads up, to offer a different opinion: the buttons on the Jabra earbuds (75,85 etc) are so easy to press, it’s not like your tapping them and slamming your ear like you do with most other buds. Extremely easy and pin free, works great when your hands are sweaty or wet and won’t accidentally activate like touch will if you’re laying in bed or on a couch.

8:39 Unless i've missed something really basic, the Bose do not fully support individual use of either bud. They disconnect when you close the lid and are using the left bud. This was really disappointing since this single-bud feature was why I chose these over other buds..

They released a firmware update correcting this issue. Stuff like this does create confusion, which is why they should have just implemented this when they were launched in the first place!

I would also like for you to please confirm the individual left bud and right bud use. Maybe with a video. I have not pulled the trigger on purchasing the Bose and continue to use Soundcore liberty 2 pros but if Bose has individual bud use, I will get those.

Tho reviewers praise a lot about custom EQ I don't even know how to tune them(I can't tell i like them more when i tune them), I don't think it's just me, i always went with the preset eq after a little bit of tinkering

If you want some eq presets, you can search auto eq by github in Google and see whether your earphones are there on the list. I.dont know how to equalize myself but auto.github really is reliable if you want that most balanced preset

This is an older video but thanks for the reviews, I’m looking for new earbuds but can’t find ones that fit great, I’ve tried the Bose and they fit pretty good. Do you know if Bose addressed any more issues, like the Eq within the app? If they have would that make them louder after using it, I don’t find them very loud and I like heavy bass and loud music while working out

Even though the xm3 aren't multi point, I love that they easily switch between devices similar to the AirPods. I think it's the Bluetooth class 1 or something like that which allows you to force a switch to another device without having to disconnect first.

Exceptional review. I have watched dozens of reviews, and I still cannot decide 100% over Sennheiser wireless 2 and the Bose earbuds. But you made it easy for most to choose. A great detailed and well explained review of the best in the market in March, 2021. My “money’s on Bose, just the size is off putting. I still use their first QC headphones which came with ANC and a battery in the box to charge it. So I understand why Bose are the kings of noise cancelling. However, I have also relied on Sennheiser Momentum earphones over the year for commuting and although they do not have the noise cancelling which I now want to have, the sound stage cannot be rivaled for me. I used to own the first Sony Walkman cassette player when Dolby noise compression was just beginning to go mainstream so I understand that hiss which can be annoying, especially in vocals, jazz and classical music. But I enjoy all genres and you did not mention an all round model which leaves me thinking that Bose wins followed closely by Sennheiser and Sony...Judging by what I understood. Thumbs up for an exceptional review nevertheless.

Ive been using the 1000xm3s for sometime now and from that, I'd say that fit is something that I'm not a fan of.... After 30mins my ears starts to ache. Also I have absolutely no idea on how u concluded that these have the best call quality out of the others. It is with great disappointment I'd admit call quality is terrible in noisy environment. ANC doesn't help with call quality. Instead what actually happens is that, when on all the buds actually go into ambient noise mode, which essentially pulls all the outside noise into the call and your voice gets beaten my most, even the small low frequency ones. I wish sony had some kind of update to help the users with

Awesome video! Thank you for this. Interesting that you found the Sony's to be the best among these 5. I haven't tried the Jabra's yet, but the Bose and Sennheiser are my top 2 picks. In my testing, I also found the Bose to have the overall sound quality (which I'm not surprised by) and the Sennheiser are a close second (they also get a major props for being able to adjust the EQ). Sony's app is just atrocious and almost that alone makes me not want to use them. I actually felt like the Sennheiser's were the most comfortable for my ears, but that's a highly personalized preference with the Bose being the second best fit. Any way...thank you so much for this!

Very good video, Mark. However. I have to disagree with one of your opinions on the Sonys. I have them and they are great. Brilliant sound quality, brilliant ANC. But you think they have the best mic quality? No. No they do not. That is the one major gripe with these buds. The mic quality is just dreadful for phone calls. Also, the case is a nightmare for scuffing and getting marked in your pocket. They are still great earbuds, but they are the worst for mic quality in my opinion.

I liked the Apple AirPodPro but being a pilot and wanting to use them under the headset they interacted with the noise cancelling of the headset and made a continuous noise regrettably so I’ve tried the Jabra 75t and found they work well under the headset and for all my other needs of listening to music and answering the phone. I bought the Jabra because of your past reviews. Thanks Mark.

I'm interested in Sony esrbuds but I listen continually one bud at a time (except for music) and when battery is low I change ears. That feature plus having pass through or ambient noise is also a must. Can Sony do that? If not what good compact buds can. I wish Jabra 85T did.

So...what missing is what SETTINGS you had your buds with to get those charge durations. If have the the XM3'S and with everything on...ANC, AAC, DSEEHX I don't get ANYWHERE near 7 hours.... This would be a good to know

Multipoint is such an underrated feature in the exact use case you're describing: switching between laptop and phone at work. All day, every day. Fumbling with connectivity in Zoom meetings and answering calls gets old fast. I'd take multipoint over better ANC any day.

to be fair, i tried the M2, airpods pro, & bose for few days, kept the senheiser & returned the rest, M2 have much better music quality, i know it is subjective but to my ears they wer much cleaner & cleaner, and were comfortable during 10 K runs as well no issues. Bose sounded surprisingly muffled in comparion & airpods fit wasnt secure enough during workouts. AnC wa best on the bose then airpods then M2 but i cared more about th3 sound quality rather than that, and is still decent to be fair. I even compared it to the momentum headphones & sony MX4 in terms of sound clsrity and it just fell short not by much.. (massiged diff i ANC ofcourse) so for me M2 were the best overall, probay why it is pricey

I just bought the Sony headphone. It has very poor quality for calls because it picks up surrounding conversations very well. So the listener hears everything. Extremely poor call quality. I am very surprised you said that this is the best.

Got the xm3's for Christmas shop, yes they are bulky, and yes they are not ip rated. But hell, the sound they deliver is amazing together with eq in app. I took em on several bike brides and they were fine. Basically, im loving em and willing to live with some downsides. Plus I did not have to go and sell plasma to buy them. :)

I don’t know how you put AirPods Pro above Sennheiser. The AirPods Pro falls far behind the Sennheiser in terms to bass and clarity. I have used AirPods Pro , and the fit of the Sennheiser is not at all bulky. It’s very comfortable.

I mean, the Sony's are there for the sound quality for music. They also have a lot of battery life compared to most other premium wireless earbuds, but... they're not exactly the most convenient in usage or with other features. As for call quality, I'm not exactly sure. I tried it a few times and have had mixed results so far. I also haven't had it disconnect, though if I'm being active and turn my head to the right it would sometimes have a distorted connection for a short second or so. I don't really mind since they sound truly amazing when I just sit down inside and listen.

I use my Apple AirPod Pro for the ANC while using my chainsaw they work very well for that among other things, also they are programmed to my audiogram and they are fairly good for replacement of my hearing aids, great for listening to music.

He’s talking about the active noise cancellation specifically. But even then, only thing that’s even close to the senn mom 2’s at the time as I’m posting the Sony 4’s are out. They hands down have the best active noise cancellation, over the mom 2’s. Idk what dudes thinking. Maybe he just prefers certain ones over the mom 2’s. He’s made it clear by talking about the price of the mom 2’s that he adds that into everything it seems. The new firmware update to the mom 2’s completely change the game. The Sony 4’a that just released look bad as hell and have many updates to come abd look absolutely amazing in ear. When or if the mom 3’a come out. It’s game over for everyone

I put aftermarket wing tips on my AirPods Pro they stay in extremely comfortable, during workouts and everything else. The only thing is I have to remove them so they can be charged, but no big deal.

You wouldn’t have liked the volume level on the sennheiser. Full volume is like 70 percent of the Sony. That’s why I took mine back. Good choice in your pick

I prefer buttons. So the Jabra are the only option. I workout outside i Sweden so I wear gloves and hat often. And great sound as well with good fit.

I‘ve been using the Airpods for over a year now. They‘re working well. Or rather they worked well. But either my pair is faulty or it‘s general issue but they get more and more problems with every software update. ANC became unuseable 2 months after I bought them.

I don't know I've owned the Sennheiser momentum 2 for about a year and I'm a heavy equipment operator I get thrown around quite often and they have never failed me one time the only problem is phone calls activate the mic and sometimes you can hear what's around you more than the person talking but other than that they're fantastic

Hey man respectfully, I gotta disagree with your video in. Regards of the Sennheiser vs. Sony xm3’s. As an owner of both pairs I can say with respect an with ANC on I’ve had the Sennheisers battery go for 6 1/2 hours rather than 4. Also outside of any rock style music, myself enjoying EDM an classical, Sennheiser has a far better quality than Sony. That Said, I do use VLC an tidal rather than Spotify in regards to listening.

Good video as always, mate. I must concur and have tried all (I mean all of your top buds +), and I have found the Sonys clearly better than all buds on the market for (1) audio sound, low-high-mid, and also these are (2) fantastic for phone calls. We must never forget this because many other buds sacrifice phone call quality for waterproofing, or something else. Bottom line, it has been a year since I finally settled in with the Sony buds and I am elated. I use them when working out and have lost nothing (however, please don't be too frisky with water). On the train, in the car, running, working out or just lounging around - SONY BEATS THEM ALL!!! Cheers mate and please remain safe through C-19

Because Bang & Olufsen is only Bose quality audio products with pretty Danish design aeshetics. The white noise hiss is inexcusable for 350 dollar earbuds. They look nice but electronically they are just inferior to other true wireless earbuds that cost less.

@@jarjared3522 I won't argue about The e8 in particular as I did not have a chance to listem to them, but Bang and Olufsen certainly knows how to make great audio equipment. I'm still using their H6 gen 2, which to me is one of the best pair of portable headphones ever.

@@matt41252 That's usually the case when reviewers hate on the Sony XM3's too. Anyhow, I think the Sony's are especially impressive since they are one of the first true wireless ANC earbuds. They don't have all features the newer buds have and may not be the best at all the features they do have... but they did pretty much standardize what premium earbuds should be offering and they do still have incredible sound that is among the best, if not the best (depending on personal preference). They're nearly a year and a half old at this point and are still going strong, but also have the advantage of having a lot of deals/being cheaper than any of the competition in the segment.

@@kaleidoscopeon Sennheiser is a company that specializes ‘only’ in Audio - from $10 ‘consumer’ earphones to $50K Audiophile/Studio grade Headphones..You have shamed them with your ‘Sony does audio the best’ statement 😄 Also, Momentums are rated as the best sounding earbuds in almost all the comparison Reviews I’ve watched..

I bought the Bose quitcomfort and started a return within 1 hour of use. I was very disappointed. They weren't loud enough for me. And there was absolutely no bass. I don't know why people praise them for sound quality and bass. Mine just didn't have either.
