I've lived my whole life in the Pittsburgh area. Grew up in Penn Hills & have lived in numerous places around the area. My last move was to Beaver County where I now live and I am retired. I've had jobs all over and have has to commute from the East, South and West to mainly the Carnegie & Greentree areas for work. Although Murrysville, Irwin & those areas are nice to live in, traffic is a nightmare! Especially commuting to or through the city. There is very little good public transportation as well. The only Light Rail is from the South Hills area. So the best thing to do is try to live where you have access to your job without going through tunnels or traveling through the city to the other areas! She failed to mention South Fayette, which is an up and coming area. Great schools, lots of newer homes but still not gridlocked . . . yet! Access to the city is good via I-79 & 376. However, no matter where you live, ask any true Pittsburgher what we say about getting around and they'll tell you 'Yuns can't get there from here'! 🤣

I grew up in Marlee Acres, 1950-1970 between Murrysville & Export, Graduating from Franklin Regional H.S. 6/1969, now living in Michigan since 1971, married 1973, just celebrated 50 years of Marriage.

I grew up in north huntingdon the 70s and 80s when it was less conjested moved to va which is worse. We used to call all the new Mcmasions subdivisions Wal-Mart acres. And before my mother passed she couldn't believe that a Panerra was coming to Irwin in 2007. And I said Irwin is now officially on the Map. And a crumbl cookie. Holy💩.

I also lived in Minnesota and liked that state. As far as choosing PA over WA, its a toss up. I miss the stormy weather. Where I am, we don't get many thunderstorms. The past two years have been 0.

I'm heading back to Washington State next fall. I'm only in Pittsburgh by default. It's too expensive here but without the amenities I had in Washington State.

I like both Murrysville and North Huntington....Irwin, too. The only caveat is that at times, Route 30 can be a real pain in the ass.

Surprised you didn’t talk about job growth in population changes, as well as what is the median income for population incoming…. this information is also very important besides restaurants nice homes and school district because it’s especially important for investors to understand the path of progress. Good job though.

Hey pretty Pittsburgh peach I just found your videos. It's great helpful info about Pittsburgh. I'm gathering info to make investment decision. Would you consider doing a video on any flood zones in the area? With 3 rivers and lakes I'm guessing there might be areas prone to rising water. As a prospective investor one thing I want to avoid like the plague is flood areas!

Flood areas are very dependent on the house. My neighbors basement floods shell get atleast a foot of water. Im right across the street and my basement is dry.
