I think he is talking about the 5.45x39 (AK-74). That is the round the Soviets made to compete with the 5.56x45mm Nato cartridge. They aren't bad if you can find any that are non-corrosive.

I would say crowbar or skateboard are honorable mentions.

Yup same , crowbar can be a weapon and a tool. Used to bash or the hook and bottom to stab, also good to open doors and windows with no maintenance at all. Grab both ends to do a shove or with practice use it like a nightstck by grabbing the hook side.

You go on to mention that in many parts of the world, firearms are not so readily available, so this list would be focused on items that can be found nearly anywhere. Then list 3 different types of firearms... and what is 5.56x39 caliber? I would've thought a bat/club would make the list, a crossbow/bow, machete, or even a sling shot. Odd list you put together here...

In my house on the east coast of the USA… between myself & my fam we have over 25 firearms in 3 safes. Think we could handle a whole bunch of zombies.

Also besides the cast iron frying pan is the wooden shoe people with a "Dutch" frying pan with a lid to act as a shield. Me & I have a Bowie Knife, a shield with railroad spikes, a 48-inch two-handed long sword, and a compound bow, this makes up short, medium, and long range. Spreading my eggs out is all.

I have an sig spear LT my side arm is a FN 509 tactical I also have a AK 47 and DD5v4 for long range engagements. My EDC is a Springfield hellcat. 🇺🇸

The AR-15 isn't even capable of full-auto nor burst, meaning it is in no way shape or form an assault rifle. Also if you absolutely had to have a gun, it would be any mag fed .22 LR that does not jam often (said specifically because zip 22), because 22LR is the most common cartridge, one of the smallest so carrying capacity is way higher than 9mm or 7.62x39.

@BulletSword saved the best for the last. I can attest to the frying pan being the best weapons from experience. My 5'5" full blooded Scottish wife knocked me out with one once. So yes, it will easily bash in some zombie brains.

this list is crap the best thing on there is an axe because i actually have that but don't have the rest and suggesting to consume food out of something that was covered in highly infectious blood is the dumbest thing ever, you could of said baseball or cricket bat, bow, slingshot, crowbar, hammer , dumbbell mace, and so many other common things
