Nipple lubricant. Just a drop on each spoke nipple, once a season. This will keep your spokes happy, and will prevent seizing.

@chumpy. 3 жыл бұрын
if its like one of those cheaper 410 or 510 chains they're bound to making bad sounds n stuff without lube, the only solution I would know is buying a new chain, otherwise u may have to keep lubing it. Old 410 chains dry up extremely easily and stretch.

@@rudylopez5541 it's most likely the internals they use some fc hubs come super loose stock out the box go to the shadow website for hub info and how to adjust slack or sometimes if the hub uses poly bushings they're probably blown out or wore out and making it loose that's why it makes that loose sound also sometimes if you're frame is warped on the drop outs when you drop your bike it'll make a creaking sound because the bolts shift on the dropouts But yeah fc hubs usually have alot of play in them because of the internals or slack adjustment most likely it's the clutch rattling inside of the hub ask others that have your hub ask them if they're hub has a ton of play or slack but typically all fc hubs have this problem aswell the planetary hub or bsd hub use similar internals just different dimensions or features these hubs are new and use different internals conpared to primo stranger bsd federal etc hubs that use like a khe fc internal style yeah these hubs do have differences but typically use similar internals because it worked and wasn't hard to understand the internals and back then fc hubs were still being developed and was kinda hard to really advance the engineering on fc hubs... always check specs and features before buying parts

I always brake clean or carb clean my headset bearings when they start to creak or feel slow when they've been sitting I take the headset off clean the head tube top and bottom then take the dust shields off the headset spray em with brake clean/carb clean till all the grease is out let spin em and dry them then I put a bit of lube to coat the races first this prevents the bearings from worn down because some times grease is a bit thicker and is a bit slower to penetrate or coat the bearings then I grease em then put the shields back on and ever since it's kept my headsets fresh and smooth I always spray brake clean or lube on a paper towel then wipe the hub teeth then lube em up a bit then use grease This is important for Madera or profile hubs or any hub in general because the profile or Madera rear hubs come dry on the engagements and pawls and do have a bit of machining residue or lube they used for storage
