I made the Honeybun cake a week or so ago for a Christmas work thing, but you add pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice to the cake batter and walnuts to the brown sugar.. It’s sooooo good! 😋

Thank you so much! I am responsible for making 4 desserts for Christmas with the family and I have to bring something for work. I have cake mix on hand but didn't want to make the usual stuff. You came through for me. I'm making the apple dump cake (also making a cherry one) , Carmel butter bars (taking your idea and making a chocolate/fudge one too) and finally the party dip for work. I might do the honey bun cake for a brunch that I am going to next Sunday. I'm making the cookies today.

How perfect are these ideas for the upcoming holiday events?! I’ve never tried the cookies before, but will definitely be making them. My favorite dump cake is using cherry pie filling and chocolate cake mix. Sooooo good!

The first is basically cobbler in the South. My grandmother would use a pyrex mixing bowl to bake the cobbler. She would occasionally make the cake "mix" from scratch. Always peach. Thank you for the memories :)

I love dump cake. ❤ It's a childhood recipe to me, as my grandma would make it for us several times a year. She made it with apple pie filling and crushed pineapples. 🤤 She's 81 years old now, and I'm so glad I can share this recipe with my children.

Another variation: one can of sliced peaches in syrup, add cake mix mix up, including the syrup, and bake. The results will be peach cobbler!

I know better than to watch your videos when I’m hungry. I love sweets. And those all looked so good. I may have to make the dip recipe first for the grandkids. My husband isn’t as much of a sweet eater. And I don’t want to eat the whole bowl by myself. Most of my grandkids are vegetarians. But they would all eat these recipes.

Great ideas and I like that they’re not all chocolate. I’m a little weird. I don’t like chocolate very much 😵💫and don’t eat dessert very often. My husband has developed more of a sweet tooth recently though and I like the simplicity of these ideas. Happy Sunday all!
