On last point it is easy win for consumers in any Courts. There is direct principal of taxation, not to apply tax on any value which includes other taxes. I hope car manufacturers also take initiative & file suit in Supreme Court.

Well explain. And I properly verified all these point during my buying of Škoda Kushaq on September.

I also faced the same issue recently just before Diwali. i was about to get the SKODA Slavia during this festive season and during PDI i found that car was of March Manufactured, when i reported this to dealer, they ignored it and told me that is normal. I was lucky that i didn't disbursed loan otherwise it would have been a big problem. Ultimately i have to cancel my booking. This issue happened in Navi Mumbai

i was also concerned about the tax on tax and the increment done from 6% to 10% and from factory price to exshowroom

Regarding the exchange aspect, same thing happened with me. Dealership was not responding even after 3 months of exchange. I called company's helpline no, got in touch with company officials. In my case company officials helped. I went to dealership with Supreme Court judgments and told i'll give them legal notice, if they didn't give me details of transfer or transfer car in their own name. Dealership then send me proper mail explaining transfer and NOC from present State Authority. Now, car is in another State with new number.

The last point (Double Taxation point) is really anti-constitutional ,it should be removed as you said. Thanks for all the valuable informative points. 🙏🙏🙏

U r right the road tax should be based on vehicle weight and type of vehicle, what does it has to do with exshowroom price, they should charge on basic price, further CSD is looting defence personnel on GST compensation cess, when asked, they have put blame on GST DEPARTMENT, but GST department denied having given such direction and asked to contact CSD

Correct information. I was planning a Skoda Kushaq with Bharat registration, connected with Dealers in Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi. Wanted to exchangenmy 2018 Punjab registered ford freestyle, the Bangalore dealership quoted around 1.5 lakh for it, Mumbai dealership didn't agree for other state vehicle exchange and asked for bribe to help me with Bharat registration. Delhi dealership gave me 3 lakh rupees as value of my car. But the problem is that all these dealership are giving lower quote, a 2018 ford sells around 5 to 5.5 lakh, then why they give lower quote and if I have all the mandatory documents why bribe is being asked for to get a Bharat registration number.

While buying a new car/ bike what are the actual costs one must pay . Please provide a breakdown

The last point makes sense and people must raise their voice, wasnt aware about this, Road Tax must be only on BASE Price and not on EX Showroom Price. But can you make a video on which are the states in India from where car purchase turns out to be cheapest and also if someone is not from that state, in what way he can purchase the car from those mentioned states.
