Finally I am able to publish the video recipe of the HOME MADE BEER WITH 5 CEREALS (shot while I was still in Thailand)
Of course it is a recipe invented by me that you can use as a basis to make your own variations and create your own recipe.
In addition to the usual basic tools that I always put on the list, you will need the following ingredients:
Wheat malt 400 g
Munich malt 1000 g
Chocolate malt 80 g

I don't know if it's common in other countries, but in Poland, we homebrewers use the special DIY thing to filter our wort which gives you much better efficiency than just adding the water after draining the first wort. We use the tubing which normally connects toilet flush with the outlet on the wall :P You can buy this thing very cheap, cut one end and rip the rubber inside, then close the open ending - this way you are left with a long metal braided filter (the longer the better). You thread it to the tap from inside the fermenter, form into a spiral and then transfer your mash on the top. You return first ~1 liter of cloudy wort and then just pour some water every time the grain gets uncovered. I checked it quickly in Brewtarget using my regular efficiency parameter and this way from the amount of ingredients you used I would get 1-1.5 liters more of final beer ;) I definitely recommend trying! Also quick tip regarding adding the yeast - if you hydrate them first (just sprinkle on like 50-100ml of warm water and leave for 15 minutes) then you can see if they are still alive to avoid adding dead yeast to your wort. Also doing this way and pouring hydrated starter into wort gives you a cleaner fermentation since yeast are ready to start propagating/fermenting right away and are not as stressed by the new environment :D Cheers!

Hello, I live in Thailand as well and I got into home brewing because of your channel last year (have messaged you before but thought you lived in Italy year round). One of the biggest issues I face is the high ambient temperature here. For Safale 4 they recommend not going over 25C on the package. However, its rare that the temperature gets that low here. I have been using Kveik yeast recently as it performs best at around 35C. I’m also considering converting a refrigerator into a fermentation chamber so I can get 10-20C fermentation temps. I’m just wondering what temperature you fermented this beer at and if there were any off flavors caused by the high temperature?

Thank you for the video. I was inspired to go out and buy my first home brewing kit after watching this. I will make the recipe in the kit first but I definitely want to try this. Just wondering if I'd be able to cut your recipe in half and use the same temperatures and methods you used. Right now I only have limited space and supplies, and no experience, so I'd like to try half the recipe or even just 3.78L

You should really get a BIAB kit. I've been using mine since 2019. It's awesome. Bazooka filters and false bottoms aren't woth it. Too much work and time. It's better to just buy more malt and have a faster brew day. No need to worry about beer clearing. You can always use gelatin. Gelatin clears beer.

Hey Beer Meisters, please correct me if I’m wrong, but when using breakfast cereal to make beer isn’t it important to chose a cereal without preservatives? I would think that you would want a flake cereal with as few ingredients as possible.

Put the sugar in the bottles, the beer, close with the cap and after 2 weeks the beer is sparkling but if you wait 2 months is even better 😉

you have used 6 cereals unless you are not counting the corn flakes? also why dont you explain why you using certain temperature and why you leave it over night for? also what makes you think the small amount of sugar you add to bottle will create 0.5% of alc?? no it is much less an insignificant amount that is usually not calculated but im wondering how you come up with 0.5%?

No, they were barley flakes I don’t how to explain in English, but in few words the starch becomes sugar How much sugar you need per 1% of alcohol? 😉

@@Spectacular-cuoredicioccolato its called a rest period in order for the enzymes in the malted grains to convert themselves or other grains starch into sugar and usually takes 1.5 hrs at 150-170F , as for how much sugar you need for 1% i dont remember but there are charts that tell you how many pounds of sugar to gallons of water will give you how much alc ,i think 1lb /gal =around 6% but i know the small tsp you put into the bottle to create carbonation is very small and nowhere near 0.5% ,, ok ciao ciao

rye malt? where did you find that?? also the dark roasted will no longer be malt because all the enzyme or diastatic power will be denatured when the grain is heated or roasted so high temperature ,,also you never explained why you let the wort rest for 8 hours? it only needs 90 minutes to mash and convert the straches to sugar,that is also something you did not bother to explain?
