Dear gosh; I feel SOOO much better! I've suffered from social anxiety for a REALLY long time now. In fact just the other day I bawled my eyes out over the fact I couldn't even bring myself to wave at somebody else in a grocery store because I was too nervous. This video really breaks things down and makes it much simpler. I haven't put anything into practice yet, but I feel more confident that I can, and am willing to give it a shot :)

How to start a conversation 1. Present your opinion first 2. Ask for a favor 3. Lead with a compliment 4. Ask about their past (hometown ...) 5. Find something in common through your environment Don’t keep the conversation with those, you need to take it to the next level. You’ve been through the hardest part of starting it . Now you can really engage in it.

No you ask another question. It isn't easy for everyone, but if kids can do it, why can't adults? It is just a conversation starter, but a lot of this new generation are anti social probably because everyone stares at their phone these days. Including me. Lol.

In a machine shop I use to work we had this cruel game. The "fellers"' would find out the new man's hobbies , say skate boarding. Then they would tell him that my brother is some record holding champion skateboarder. Then said person would come over to inquire about my brother and I'd go off on him because my brother is in a wheelchair and has never walked. Oh we made lots of long lasting relationships with new comers. Actually we didn't let them sweat to long before we let them off and told em it was our cruel hazing into our group.

my thing is i dont have a problem talking or like keeping a conversation going like if we start a conversation about somthing i know or i dont know about i'm gona ask sh*t ton of questions and keep talking but starting a converstion the" hi , how are you ? " ... all my close Friends tell me that i thought you r one of those pepole that just want to stay alone when i'm completely the opposite that's why all the pepole that started by saying hi are my close friends now .... but me saying hello to a stranger aaaaa no thanks ..... idk maybe i'm scared of someone seeing me as weird or trying too hard to make friends this is what i thinck will happen if i say hi to a stranger me : hi ..... how are you him : ( i never talked to him befor why is he talking to me now ) aa.. good hh wby ? me : ( i kniw it ) good and then just scilence me : i can't belive were almost 2021 him : hhhh yes weird right ... okay i need to go now my friends are there me : 👁👄👁 Ummm i'm probably traumatized by somthing but that's what i thinck will happen if i say hi to somone i dont know

I don't agree with the favor part done people don't feel like getting into disagreement so they do favors out of not seeming 👀 like the bad person or the negative person and have people judge them and say hey what's wrong with this person it doesn't necessarily mean you like the person just because you did them a favor especially if you just met the person you don't know this person asking you for a "favor" so how can you really get a read on them especially if you don't know this person and more than likely 9 times out of 10 the person you've just met haven't really show you their true colors or intent most people are giving you a facade personality that they assume you may be cool and ok with

Why would I start a conversation with someone I do not know? I am perfectly fine with this semi-anonymous KZfaq rant as a way to communicate with a stranger and then closing it. Talking to others you do not know is not a necessity. I talk to nobody in public places. I only communicate with others in manner that a client would interact with a service provider or a merchant. It makes life simple.
