There are more than a few stories of children going missing and then being found. When they are found they say a "wolf man" or "bear" helped them and even fed them. Sometimes they claim the wolf or bear kept them warm as well. What is happening is beyond our understanding.

I'm just grateful that some have come out alive and well. I definitely have no plans to take kids to the woods. Actually, I'm not planning any trips for myself, but if I do go, I will follow advice, and have a personal locator beacon, some type of protection and plenty of supplies, but not certain that any of that would be helpful in some of these cases. They are definitely strange. Just hypothesizing...but if there really are portals, would a personal locator beacon be of any assistance? IDK, but I believe, like you, much is beyond our understanding. I think there are some people that have some idea, but don't think they're sharing. If there are people in the know, and this is being held from the public, I feel it's a crime, even if its something out there that we cant comprehend. People need to know where and/or when to stay away, and why. I think many times it's about not scaring off their business, but people have a right to know, and not all money is good money. In the cases where the FBI or military show up, it truly makes me believe, they know something, or may even be something they created. I just dont know.

I live on the edge of the Allegheny National Forest and have spent most of my life hunting, fishing, and camping within it. I've never heard of mysterious disappearances, but there are several weird rumors and stories that I've heard about certain areas within it. I've heard from several people over the years about mysterious translucent vortexes that appear in certain areas, dirt logging roads that go on for miles into the forest that end up as well kept paved roads that end at what appear to be fenced off government facilities (not ranger stations), and the appearance of strange animals that can't be identified. I've personally hiked through areas where I'll suddenly and without any reason feel an overwhelming sense of dread (I'm not bipolar and mental illness doesn't run in my family) and it only occurs in very specific areas. And unnatural sounds that aren't recognizable (again, only in specific areas). There's also a famous legend about a curse that the Seneca Indians had placed on the Kinzua Dam which finished construction in the 1960's and flooded the town of Kinzua, along with a Seneca burial site which also contains the grave of Chief Cornplanter. Pretty interesting stuff anyway. *EDIT:* As a side note, the Johnny Cash song _'As Long as the Grass Shall Grow'_ Is about the betrayal of Chief Cornplanter by the United States government and the Army Corps of Engineers who built the Kinzua Dam.

I go camping in the woods all the time. Tent, sleeping bags, building our own fire, catching fish to cook on the fire, the whole nine yards. I've never experienced something so crazy as someone disappearing or seeing Bigfoot. However, I have heard strange noises & seen unexplainable shapes moving through the darkness. As an avid outdoors woman, I should be able to easily identify things like that, but I couldn't. Neither could the others with me. There is most definitely something living within our thick forests & woods that we don't know or comprehend.

In the Steven Kubaki case, I guess a very simple explanation can't be ruled out. That is that he simply wanted to get away from his current life (for what ever reason) and when the time came he reconnected with his family, while making up a wild story since he wasn't willing to explain why he went away. I guess there are also psychological conditions that can make people (temporarily or permanently) suppress memories.

Here's a creepy story that kinda relates to this. It's a long one. Sorry I was hiking with 2 friends in a state park. It was a Tuesday so it wasn't overly packed. And we came early(like 6am early) we hiked for hours and went to every cannon. I don't think my 2 friends noticed. But everytime we stopped. I always saw something move in the woods next to us and there was always a clicking noise. I thought it was a person at first but we were on the only trail an entire mile. No one was around us. Luckily I managed to convince them to head back to the car because we were all hungry. We were all looking at our phones and taking pictures. Our phones had said it was like 8 am. So we thought we were just cutting out day short. But turns out. When we got back to the car. It was 4 almost 5 pm. Ive been prown to experiencing time warps but I never thought I could drag my friends into it. But our pictures which at some points show a blurry shine in the background say otherwise.

These real life stories chilled my skin especially the ones involving the children who went missing and then were found thank god. Having two children and six grandchildren of My own I can only guess at the trauma the families must have experienced when the children just vanished. Thank god they came back. @@bleachgems8313 yea, but these are still very interesting and bizarre cases. I would love to hear some stories regarding other countries as well. I did hear Dave say that he works with numerous other countries, but so far, have heard about US, Canada and the UK. I'm certain language barriers and laws may make it difficult for some of these stories to be released from other countries. I've only recently started watching Paulides's channel, so he may very well have covered more, and I just haven't heard it yet. I'm looking around YT now, trying to find more sources and cases.

Matt, you failed to mention in the first case regarding Steven that he disappeared from Michigan and woke up 15 months later in a meadow... in MASSACHUSETTS! You made it seem like he woke up in Michigan and walked to his Dad's house but his Dad actually lived in Massachusetts. You kinda left out one of the most important details, because he has no idea how he traveled nearly 1,000 miles or where he was for those 15 months.

David Paulides found a niche in the conspiracy/mystery topics… this is really disturbing how these people just vanish, and the ones that they actually find, are found in the craziest places with no recollection of how they got there and why they’re shoes are found miles away neatly set down ..the stories are really haunting and unreal.. the worst part about these cases is that the park agencies don’t want to give out any info or help, and in most cases they don’t even keep records of strange happenings within their parks. Def another topic someone needs to be held accountable for when disclosure happens.

I have mentioned this but I will do it again for the clarity of what I think may be taking ppl. Back in the 80’s I was in The US Army. This was around the time of the Contra’s and Manuel Noriega. Part of the 101st was down in Panama. We were checking out an area for insurgents, narcotics, etc... I am on point and out about 50’ I start hearing like a hissing/clicking noise. Afterward, that area became quiet as death. Out of my peripheral I caught site of something that wasn’t completely camouflaged, basically it saw us waited and pondered for a second then this thing was up a tree and headed on more or less the tops of the tree’s. I felt an evil, other-worldly presence, like I don’t have time for this. I am quite sure his technology was far advanced to our M-16’s, M1A17 Law, etc etc...as he was trimming down those tree’s I heard a distinctive clicking noise. I was shocked and amazed at his speed and his arms lengths to reach the tree tops. I believe that we are being preyed upon in our own deep backwoods. I have heard about the Appalachian high mountain men that will eat humans (yes they are known to cannabalize the weaker captives). I have also heard Cherokee legends of the little people. The very harshness of the Trail of Tears (Our Cherokee names are Wilson) so we had kin on the Trail. As they cried and were torn from their land, I believe so too are some of the sons, mothers daughters are being preyed upon by a silent evil source. I do not think the Sasquatch Tribe is doing this. I truly believe it’s inter dimensional without soul. Odd how Skunk Ape are seen near UFO sightings? If you do not believe in their tribe, have an encounter and you will NEVER forget it. I am from Bend, OR we are familiar with them and other things with red eyes! Sorry for blabbing but David Paulides, God bless him and his son, Ben. David might be making a living, but I have noticed he takes a lot of hits from SAR folks, but I want him on my team if I EVER go missing! God bless.

The common denominator to the cases were the lost was found is the distinct lack of memory during the ordeal, surely if something bad happened to you that was not only out of the norm but terrifying then wouldn't you remember every detail but in these cases even the most visceral memories are missing and that is what I find fascinating.
