The transfer tape is the worst to get apart! I have been told if you hold your tongue in your cheek the proper way, it helps! Lol. ;). It turned out beautiful! :)

Oh ya the transfer tape has been a pain from the beginning the one tape I have found to be decent is the Cricut Joy transfer tape but even then it can be to much sticky for some projects. So I have gone to basic contact sticky paper which has just the right amount to pull it off the backing and yet it onto my item. 🤩bonus it’s so much cheaper and you get tons of it.

If you put a piece of tape on each side of the transfer paper then you can just pull it apart easily!

I have used medium cardstock and found that to be a go to for me. If I use heavy cardstock I adjust the pressure before I cut 😊.

I use any vinyl I have on hand. Just tell the machine you are using the smart vinyl

Oh ya I agree- I’ve learned to pick which material I feel is best. Smart vinyl is a go to setting for those thicker vinyls out there 💜

You can reuse the transfer tape.

You sure can. Depending on the surface of a project - I find working with wood the transfer tape loses its stickiness so I would say other than that save your backing and reuse it 🤩👍

No you can use whatever cardstock you want. Just note that light yardstick will tear or snag easily. So keep it to the medium to heavy type. :)

Hi! I love watching your videos. So I’ve never used a cricut before but I make faux leather baby barrettes and I cut by hand. Could I use other faux leather sheets that are not the cricut brand?

I brought an off brand mini press almost identical to the cricut it has all different heat settings and functions when you say level one etc what heat is it? just moved and my cricut mini is in storage still , love your tutorials would love it if someone would do more for the silhouette Alta, just brought myself a cricut joy and a silhouette mint not enough on the mint either .

Well the off brand might have the same settings. Did it not come with a booklet on the heat settings. I would think they are all the same in heat temps for each level. Low - Use with sensitive base materials or heat-transfer materials that transfer between 255°F (125°C) - 295°F (145°C) Medium - Use with most base materials or heat-transfer materials that transfer between 300°F (150°C) - 355°F (180°C) High - Use with Infusible Ink materials, heavy-duty base materials, and other heat-transfer materials that transfer between 360°F (185°C) - 400°F (205°C)

Great Question Christine, they do cut separately(you can have them drawn or printed as well if you wanted) on the vinyl as in the video I weed them individually. I overlapped them for a layered affect. 😀🤗 Thank you for watching!! 🌻🇺🇸Have a blessed day my friend!

Hello Dorothy, I am happy to help. First make sure you unzip the files you want to add (svg files). Next open up your design space and go to upload - click upload image. Then with both your download box open and your design space open ( sharing the screen) drag and drop an image you want to your design space. It will turn green. Then adjust it as needed and save it with a file name of your choosing. Then, you can go to your uploads and click on it to insert it to your canvas! Then have fun cutting it drawing it with your Joy😍. Let me know if you need any further help. See my most recent video- I show this step 👍🌻. Have a blessed day my friend.

Does Text have a verity of fonts or do the fonts come from fonts in My iPad?

Hello Jean, you will have basic fonts on your iPad and you can always download ones off Creative Fabrica. You can check out their free ones as well to practice uploading. Honestly, I’ve tried editing the Joy cards- but they do not give you the option to customized/edit. Just to make only. However, if you make a card yourself, you can cut/print without the corners. That is one thing that I Hope Cricut updates to allow more customization to the inserts. Or offer more cards with the option to yes or no to the corners. I’m sorry hun. I have created my own card designs in the past as I know these corners are somewhat of a tool to work with. You can have the basic sub with Cricut to access and edit projects that are customizable only. Again, some are locked/make as is. Have a wonderful week. 😀🌻

Hey Denise, I’m not quite sure what specifics you’re wanting to create? You can buy svgs (Images to cut on the vinyl) from creative fabrica- check them out here www.creativefabrica.com/ref/476735/ Once you download an image you go to design space and upload the image by drag and dropping the svg image over and the box turns green. Then save it and click on the image to add to insert in the canvas. Then be sure to mirror the image before you cut it on htv. Remember shiny side down. Them me know if you need any clarification !! 😀🤗.

You can my friend but many iron just don’t distribute heat evenly and you make there quite awhile for it to stick and adhere. It would definitely be worth investing in a mini or easy press if you are going to continue future project with htv 😁.

How do you toggle on the duplicate buton? I'm using my Android phone at this point. How do I use the cricut app on my Windows computer too? I prefer to use the computer for my projects. Ty

Hey Robert, the DS on Android is something I can’t give any feedback on my friend. I only have used Mac and IOS devices. You can simply download Cricut design space on your computer and log into you Account you have already created and any projects you’ve saved to you iCloud will be available. Just not that any fonts you add to you computer - most will not be available on the mobile device. I hope this helps clarify a bit. You can but you won’t be able do print cuts. Just draw and cut is available on the small machine

@Rachel Cain, hey hun I used the joy pen that came with it. You can watch the joy unboxing/review I did back in early March🤗. I walked through a project using the pen and the vinyl 🌻🌟🌟.

When you’re done with a design for the joy how do you get out of it and do another design ?

You actually just save the project you’re in if you want and then go to the plus button for a new canvas to begin a new project 👍😁.
