Dude, Story 3 was absolutely terrifying. As a 10 year old, I know I wouldn't have been able to call the police because I just didn't know how to handle something like this; as well as the fact that I didn't own a phone at that age. When he says, "I knew I was going to die," that feeling felt so real because what else would a 10 year old think when strangers are in the house.

Story 3: I wonder if the guy who opened the closet, was the least deranged of the bunch. Maybe he stood there deciding how his cohorts would react and determined, "The second I give this kid up, it's not going to end well for him".

@@redmoongaming7122 yea most people robbing houses aren't looking to get murder charges and shit. If they just steal some shit the cops honestly aren't gunna look for them very hard, but if you kill a kid you're pretty much guaranteeing yourself to be on the run for the rest of your life and the chances of being caught skyrocket.

I used to be a house robber and I always spared the kids when I inevitably found them. I’m guessing the intruder in the third story did see the kid, soon after they opened the closet, as they did not rummage through the closet looking for the kid as they had done with the bedsheets. The 20 or so seconds of standing there was the intruder probably deciding what to do with the kid, eventually deciding they weren’t going to harm a child.

I was chased down the street by a creepy man when I was 8. Ever since then I've spent my entire life on edge, always expecting danger around every corner. The fourth story killed me. I couldn't imagine hearing a voice in the woods and walking toward it. There are so many red flags in these stories that people ignore. It literally makes my skin crawl

It's better to be always prepared. You never know what kind of wierdo you'll encounter. I remember that when I was maybe like 5 or 6 I was at grandma's place of my childhood friend. I don't even remember if it was the grandma's birthday or something but I remember we went out playing on a playground just like normal kids would. We went back in and it was already getting dark. I remember we went in for like a minute or two to just say goodbye and we were about to leave. I put my shoes on and I went to the front door. Just to specify it was a block of flats so you got like 7 flats on top of each other and you have the front door of your flat and then the front door of the entire building and I went to the front door of the building, my friend and her mother were putting their shoes on and as soon as I got to the front door I totally froze. There was a guy that was I'd say in his late 40s and he was waving money in my face and with hand signals telling me to go outside to get the money. My parents always told me to not open the door or go with anyone that wants to give me money or candy or anything else. I got really scared. As soon as I unfroze I was running back to the front door of the flat as fast as I could where her mother and my friend were already ready to leave. I didn't say a word. I was so scared that when we leave he will kidnap us all 3, it was just two 5 or 6 year old kids with a mother. We would be an easy target. We went to the front door of the building and it was literally just like 5 seconds until we got to the front door to the outside and I remember my heart beating like crazy but to my surprise when we got to the door there wasn't anyone. Literally in 5 seconds he totally disappeared. I didn't know if I should say anything or no but I was still in shock and just kept my mouth closed hoping that the wierdo isn't waiting somewhere in the bushes. I never encoutered that man again but it was hella creepy going back home. We went to the friends house and my friends mother asked me if I can make it back home by myself and I hesitated for a while she knew I was hesitant about it but then I said yes that I'll go by myself. We were literally a minute of walking away from each other so like a man I said I'll go alone. I guess she saw I was hesitant at first so she said she will go with me just in case. I never told her or my parents what happened but it was creepy. That guy was probably watching us on the playground somewhere from the distance and hoped that after we went inside we just went to drink something and got back outside. It couldn't be a coincidence that he was there. When I got first to the door he was already there with the bill in his hand waving at me with it. I think it was 2012 at that time. I recalled the story some time ago and searched on google about kidnapping in my city. A case from 2012 showed up, some little girl was kidnapped and never found. Who knows, maybe it was the same guy. I'm a dumbass I should've told my friends mother and if we alerted the police there's a pedo around trying to lure kids maybe they would catch him and that kidnapping wouldn't happen. I escaped death that day by not opening the door. That thing creeps me out to this day. Now I often go out in the dark it's kinda calming when you walk around at night. Knowing what happened to me It's wierd that I often see kids out when its already dark. My parents wouldn't let me be out when it was already dark and they definitely knew why. I haven't heard of a kidnapping ever since so that is possitive but it won't leave my head, the fact that maybe if I told someone and we went to the police to explain I would maybe prevent someone's kidnapping and then death.

A possibly life-saving tip with shutting doors: To shut a door quietly, turn the knob to the right, pull it shut quietly, then lock the door. That way, if you are ever involved in a home-invasion, you can shut the door quietly without being detected by the intruder.

When I was 14 I actually had a very similar experience and was also scared to call the police, in fact it was my friend that ended up sending the police to my house. There’s this fear that you’re “overreacting” or a sense that if you call 911 it affirms that the experience is “real”. I honestly don’t know how to put it because it doesn’t make a ton of sense but yeah, it’s not uncommon to be scared of calling 911 in those situations, especially at that age.

This is why being close to neighbors who you trust or at the very least having their numbers for these types of situations are in my opinion much better. Each time, they sided with The Karens and their WS husbands. Even with intruding, trespassing, vandalism and threats. There was no proof. So, I stopped calling the cops and started kicking ass and shooting. They haven’t bothered me in years. I also got a Rottweiler, and cameras. My Rottie has since died. I think someone poisoned him. My house was set up exactly like the first story with the couch. My cat and I one night thought it would be a great idea to shut off all the lights and watch scary movies. It was his idea not mine btw. I kept hearing little noises behind me during the movie and just thought I was scaring myself. I was laying on my back on the couch and my cat was laying on my chest. I had to turn my head to see the t.v. Now before this I believed animals and children could see spirits. So when I watched as my cat was staring at something from behind the couch, it started giving me the creeps. He wouldn't turn his head for anything no matter what I said or did, he just stared. After a few long minutes I watched as he slowly moved his head as if he was following something slowly moving, he turned his head and stopped right above my head. He was staring at something above my head. I was frozen for a good 60 seconds, jumped up and turned on all the lights. Needless to say, I moved my couch against a wall after that

That first one, with him seemingly hallucinating his sister's voice calling for him - something similar happened to me a few years ago. I was at college, and I excused myself from class to go to the bathroom. When I entered the bathroom, there weren't any other girls in there, no cubicles were taken up or anything. The door to the bathroom is also very noisy, so you'd hear someone coming in or leaving if they did. I was sitting, doing my business, when clear as day I heard my friend/classmate - we'll call her Laura - call my name. "Becca?" Confused, having not heard the door open, I called back "Yeah?" No answer. I quickly finished up and opened the cubicle door; nobody was there, and I didn't hear anyone leave. Weirded out, I washed my hands and hurried back to class, and asked Laura if she came looking for me in there. She just gave me a confused look and said "No?", so I explained what happened. She and our other friend, "Carrie", looked concerned, but we eventually just brushed it off as me hearing things. I still think about it, though. It echoed as if it was really there, and it was unmistakably Laura's voice.

@@nikolina5893 man nobody tryna hear all that, if you’re in danger and can not defend yourself, you call the police SIMPLE… it’s common sense. I’m not basing not calling the police off of anecdotal experiences from others or bc I think they won’t do anything; that way of thinking is just down right stupid especially in situations like this. Him not calling the police could’ve easily been a fatal mistake but I also blame the parents bc that mindset should’ve been beaten that into his head already

Or you know, he was just a burglar trying to get money for weed and debts and didn't really wanted to ruin a entire family by killing off an innocent kid. Burglars break in houses with no people inside, steal what they can and leave quickly. The group probably was watching the neighborhood around and saw the family leaving, and didn't thought that there was someone else in the house. And even if the kid saw the burglar, he was probably wearing a mask and if not, he would probably just try to intimidate the kid to not tell anyone about it instead of cut open his throat right away.

Best case scenario is that those intruders just didn't want to have murder charges or more heat on them lol

Story #3. I get it, as a parent it would be scary to deal with your child on the way to the hospital, when there are so many questions, and terrible scenarios playing in your head. But that was incredibly stupid and irresponsible to leave a 10 year old and 5 year old home alone. Especially when their older brother is in the hospital. Seriously, it's important for the entire family to be together at such a crucial time.

I thought the same thing. If he was 14 or 15, maybe okay home alone. But 10? Nope. He has no cell phone or landline in his room *and* you forget to lock the front door? Bad all around. I give my kids scenarios and what to do if someone were to break in based on where they are in the house, but I still wouldn’t leave a child younger than 13 or 14 home alone with no way to call for help or a plan if there were a fire or break-in.

Fear is truly something a lot of people feel when they aren't alone in their home, especially for the young kids. Honestly, the hospital story shows how careless people can be when they leave the doors to their homes unlocked. Parents really gotta let their kids who don't want to go to the hospital to see how dire their family is going through to keep the doors of the house locked. It took so long for the parents to come home and no wonder: they were so careless enough to let someone steal their valuable goods. Kudos to the guy and their neighbor in the last story that they got the woman taken away for good. Feeling proud she wasn't gonna break into his house anymore gives him peace.

With regards to first story, a few friends and myself were staying in a Air B&B a few years ago. I wake up one night around 2am and hear someone fall outside my bedroom door. As I was getting up to see what happened I heard the person get up off the floor and walk off. So I fell back asleep. The next morning one of my friends said his leg was sore. I asked him if it was from his fall last night. He gave me a weird look and said “I slept well last night and never got out of bed”.. We all then proceeded to look at one another as if to say, so who fell at 2am then; and to this day we still have no idea who was out in that hallway

@@sydnitownsend4855 being that this event has came up in conversation multiple times since that happened, I’ve taken the time to look back at it. I heard someone get up off the floor and walk off, but I didn’t hear any shifting around in the bedroom next to mine. When I say shifting around, you would think at 2am you would be able to hear someone going back to bed right across the hall. All’s I heard though was someone walk off after falling and then no noise afterwards, then I fell back asleep. When I initially heard the fall I also heard a grunting sound that a people typically make when they fall, but I couldn’t tell based off the grunt who it was. Once again, if I was a little more than half awake when all this happened I would of processed the eeriness of it better
